Sorry USM fans I finally got to see Memphis play and I'm sorry no one in conference USA has a chance this year.... I just wish Memphis would've stuck around because utep would've given them headaches in the future

Memphis usually plays poorly in these early games. I wouldn't be surprised if this thing goes down to the wire.

You're right. But I believe 5 of our 6 losses have come on the road this year and Memphis beat us at home by 13. Not saying we can't win, but I am saying we have to play near perfect basketball to do so.

The only road loss we weren't actually in the game when the last two minutes came about though was the Louisiana Tech game. That's the only one that we honestly were just outplayed for a full forty minutes. the other 4 we went toe-to-toe with for pretty much 38 minutes every game... it was just those last two minutes in those games that hurt.

The Tigers need a focused and intense effort to beat USM. I hope the crowd helps the cause.

Out for the year. Was the leading scorer when he went down I believe. Considering we have a small team, he was one of our bigger players who could bang around in the paint. Hurts our depth as well.

flying saucer is only 4 blocks away. go there post game.

Alfred's on Beale is only one block away and usually has $2 longnecks before the game. Draft and the fxf is $8.75 and mostly bud and bud light.

this is killing me.. .I was going to go to Memphis this weekend to go to the game to kind of forget about these past two days and the LONG hours I've been working because of this storm... BUT I"M BROKE :(

Craig was our best defender IMHO. He has the quickest hands I can remember on a USM team. He was a huge part of the reason why we climbed to No 2 in the nation in steals. He is done for the year with torn ligaments suffered against Memphis two weeks ago, although he originally hurt himself the Wednesday before at UCF.

It's the price we play for being off campus...however Cal and Josh both agree that FedExForum is one of our best recruiting tools.

We've always played off campus and we've had good students sections. In the Coliseum, early on in the Pyramid, even a few years at the Forum. It's poor leadership.

We've always played off campus and we've had good students sections. In the Coliseum, early on in the Pyramid, even a few years at the Forum. It's poor leadership.

The Coliseum was 5 mins from campus...and we didn't always have a good student turn out at the Pyramid...just like we don't always have a bad student turn out at FedExForum.

Also the coliseum had a smaller student section. When my dad was a student in those days they didn't have the internet activities like facebook and message boards or video games. Even now it's hard to pull fans in attendance away from their iphones to actually cheer during the game.

I totally agree with this. Last night in the second half was our first solid defensive performance since he got hurt. Trust in Tyndall!

To the previous post, you cannot discount the home/away ratio and how hard that is to deal with from the player/coach perspective.

It is a given we have to play solidly and hope MEM is at the very least a tad flat...and I don't expect the latter against us...Pastner is pounding that in their heads right this minute.

We put up a pretty good defenseive effort the last 5-7 minutes of the ECU game as well.
What has really hurt us the past 3 games is we aren't shooting very well. Not sure if its due to tired legs or just a bad streak, but we were leading C-USA in 3pt FG% but have shot terribly since the UCF game.
