When you say that before/during/after the Rice game, then turn around and say it before/during/after the UCF game, what does it mean?
It has really become a joke with the local media now, they say it on the radio and laugh all the time.
I truly believe it has become a joke with Pastner as well, I swear it seemed he had a hard time trying not to laugh when he was saying it at half-time. Parrish couldn't contain himself. Wolo actually laughed out loud when he said it on the post game.
Case in point, from Don Wade in today's Daily News:

"So Josh Pastner’s latest post-game conference is just about to start, this one after a 93-71 victory over Central Florida on Wednesday, Feb. 13, a game the Tigers led by as many as 34 points.
Before I can sit down a colleague stops me and says with a smile, 'They’re a good team, good players.'
I smile and say, 'They’re well-coached. That’s a good win.'
He replies, 'Donnie Jones (the UCF coach) is a good friend of mine.'
As I settle into my chair, another colleague smirks, leans in and whispers, 'That’s a good win. Good players, good coach … .'
And on and on it goes until Pastner sits down behind the microphone and, no kidding, says: 'That’s a good team we just played. A well-coached team … Donnie’s a dear friend … good players, high-level team … that’s a good win.'
No, we don’t even need the coach to do his press conference anymore. We know the lines by heart, including how in Conference USA Memphis is everybody’s 'World Series' and 'Super Bowl' and this time, in a nice addition, 'their Stanley Cup and Master’s championship.' ”

As, I think it was, missjtiger once said, talking in front of a camera is not his strong suit. But at least when he gets done, people are smiling or rolling their eyes, not loathing him AND the team AND the fans because of what kind of person he is, at least, perceived to be. Anyone still remember that effect? I do.
I think saying that kind of stuff over and over sounds dumb, but I'm gonna have to go along with the majority here. As long as we're winning, it's immaterial. And if he ever says that stuff after winning an NC, we'll all be laughing at it more than anyone else.
