Having only read the last couple of post in this topic I hesitate to jump in this argument with you Ladies, BUT.... If your argument is that the only thing that matters in the history of our two great programs is LAST year, then yes, you are right we are "owned" by Memphis.....but, if we are going by what the rest of the civilized world goes by when comparing two football program's histories and taking into account all the years which they have competed against one another then......well, I'll let you do that research, but I'm pretty sure I know how it will turn out.

In fact I clearly stated I have no hatred towards Southern.

The record stands at 23-40-1 yet on 258 points are the total difference in those 64 games or an average of about 4 points. Not if it was 2580 points I might could see it.

After the success of the basketball team of 72-73 Memphis began putting more money into basketball instead of football because they knew a lot of sec football fans were following Tigers basketball. Football suffered. For years.

Lastly, I always root for Southern against anybody but Memphis and neither the two schools parting ways nor some internet messageboard clown will change that.

I know this..if MEM suffered through a .500 season in hoops, I would be very surprised if ONE USM fan gave them shite about it....some have questioned the continuation of the Pastner reign, but none have shited on them...so fk U, with the o-fer comparison and may we we both prosper in the future.
