I know it feels like some teams never miss when they are playing well, but until the last few minutes neither team was shooting free throws very well. We did at the end of the game, but for 25-30 minutes, both of us were pretty weak at the line. But I can honestly appreciate what it feels like when it seems like "they'll never miss".

You guys didn't miss many 3's when your shooters had a chance to bend their knees to "settle" their bodies before shooting. When the ball went from the inside to an open shooter on the perimeter, it usually went in.

Yeah, I think that the free throws were about even or +/- a couple in the first half but obviously we improved more than I thought we did in the second half. That's actually better than we've been doing this year. My eyes deceived me on free throws.

There is only 2 made 3's difference. I realize that's 6 points, but not a huge difference.

Well, next year, C-USA is going to have to bow down to the Golden Eagles...

It will be your time to shine and keep the rest of the league in their places....

I take my hat off to Memphis on a very good game. No excuses for USM, we played good but Memphis played great. I saw the game and I think both teams are quality teams, but Memphis was the more talented team and deserved to win the game.

I agree 100%.

This is what Donnie Tyndall thinks of Memphis:

“They have talented players, four, five, six NBA guys. We knew coming in that they would be the most talented team we’ve played all year, with the possible exception of Arizona. After playing them, there’s no doubt in my mind they’re better than Arizona.”

That nice to hear coming from him. The Tigers become extremely good when they play with that level of intensity and focus. The problem is that they sometimes fail to rise to that level.

Congrats to Memphis. They played a great game. They played their ass's off and were determined to win. Could never get closer than three and when we did, the Tigers would increase their lead. I loved that our team fought to the end and never quit, but Memphis was just the better team.
