RE: UCF vs. USM tonight is a scarey game
Wow, 6 pages in a UCF-USM "game thread" and almost zero posts about the actual game itself.

UCF's 6 losses:
Three respectable losses
MTSU, 21-4 (13-1), RPI 28 - #1 in SunBelt
#2 Florida, 18-3 (8-1), RPI 4 - #1 in SEC
#8 Miami, 19-3 (10-0), RPI 2 - #1 in ACC
Three terrible losses
South Florida, 10-13 (1-10), RPI 96 - 15th out of 15 in Big East
ECU in OT, 13-9 (4-5), RPI 114 - 6th out of 12 in CUSA
Marshall, 10-14 (3-6), RPI 201 - 10th out of 12 in CUSA

RPI serves a purpose...it actually makes teams "perform" well on the road....and at least SCHEDULE non-conf ROAD games (or more neutral site games).
Even college baseball this year is finally implementing a new RPI...forcing those "Southern Teams" to finally leave their campus more than once or twice a month during the non-conf schedule.
Remember when Syracuse Hoops would never leave town and/or the state during non-conf play?
Well, NCAA finally made Syracuse stay "home" for one post-season...all because of a terrible non-conf RPI (i.e. lack of non-conf road games) yet today, Syracuse now regularly schedules some good non-conf home-home series.
If not for RPI, top programs would basically NEVER play non-conf road or even neutral site games.

In the other game (against Tulsa) USM won 62-59 in Tulsa. Then again that is why they play the games.
Don't know who will win and don't know if you are a hater or 'hoper'. As in I 'hope' USM loses. You're posts about USM basketbll are all the same. We know your thoughts already. Seriously, if we win tonight you gonna stop it?
So in your world view; someone has to be a "hater" or a "hoper" to point out the obvious about USM's opponents in conference play so far? Maybe you should take off your black and gold glasses. They are in 3rd place in the conference and they are playing at home. Stop being a homer and look at the obvious.
Be patient, your awesome Pirate team will get their two shots at our poor little team that hasn't played anybody yet. I just hope we can give ECU a competitive game.
I hope so too. I just hope little ole ECU can behold the majesty that is the USM basketball and not flinch in the face of Golden Eagle greatness. Just have mercy; please don't slay us in the same manner that Denver and Tulsa were slain. Maybe ECU should just borrow the uniforms from New Mexico State. That might do it.
We slayed you Marv. Ten in a row. How does that mouth feel now Marv boy?? ECU=Choke job. I love it.
