Plus, the crowd was anxious and frustrated and they probably wanted to vent on someone, so why not the refs? I doubt many who were booing were directing their anger at the players or Pastner. As always, I could be wrong though.
The only reason I said it was directed at the team was because where I was sitting people were booing and actually yelling some of our players names..So like you said earlier it was probably a mixture of both because people were frustrated at that point..

One other thing I noticed after watching the last 15 minutes of the game again was that Tarik Black was regularly clapping for his teammates as they were scoring near the end of the game. He looked sulky, but at least he wasn't completely in angry selfish mode.

TigerGG is right.

The fans were not booing the officials. The refs were spot on excellent in their officiating; MEMPHIS clearly got the vast majority of the close calls.

The fans were booing their team at home and especially that slackard Pastner. He is horrendous and in wa-a-a-ay over his head. Yeah, he's won 75% of his games but that just PROVES how lucky this guy is!

He should be fired tomorrow.

there are always assclowns in the crowd, who ride the players and coach. Maybe more than usual yesterday. Sounds like a solid mix of boos. Never boo the players! unacceptable.

They hit the Tech FT then Geron got scored on. Pastner called a Time out. The crowd booed again.

I have watched Memphis for a while and have never heard the crowd boo the team.

Saw that on the rebroadcast last night.

Big boos right after Shaq gets the technical...a little over 8 minutes left.
Bigger boos when Johnson gets called for the block- just over 8 minutes left.
Timeout a few game seconds after that and really big boos come out.

It was the referees folks.

While I am thrilled that Stephens made big plays yesterday and was arguably the player of the game, there were several players who made big plays helping the TEAM win.

Good for all of them, need more Tuesday.

Watched on TV and I heard the boos. Always thought that the boos were being directed at the referees and not the team.
