Solely?

yes, i stand by that. I mean, yes, it's a team game blah blah blah. But of any of the players on the court in the 2nd half, I think they were largely interchangeable except for DJ

I do too.
Believe me it wasn't the refs it was because we were playing horrible at the time and had squandered a huge lead..

You are so full of ****, you were not the only one there.
Name calling that's nice..It was during a timeout when the booing was happening..I DVR'd it and watched that point in the game, Pastner called a timeout and the crowd was booing and you could hear it on TV also plain as day, and it was directed at the Tigers not the Refs..You must of been cold and had your ear muffs on..And I'm not a clown you Brat!! And I didn't boo either for your INFO!!I personally thought it was at the players because some of the fans around me were actually yelling some of the players names..Maybe it was a mixture of both, but I didn't boo..I was in shock that the booing was taking place that's why I mentioned it..

Well, if that is true, it shows a lot of the fans are not happy with Pastner. I remember Larry would get the same treatment during 1994-95 and 1995-96 despite going 33-1 at home, going to the Sweet 16, getting up to #3 in the country and winning back to back regular season conference titles. When they turn they turn and wins and losses don't seem to matter anymore. Pastner better get some wins in the Dance before it gets really ugly around here.

watching the game, i thought the booing was also solely directed at the refs. the forum was restless and angry and nervous, you could feel it over the tv.

all that said, it's really grating watching the thought police come onto the game thread, not in the heat of the moment, and start insulting people.

Mimi does it snarkily. Tanya, more directly. But they're doing it nonetheless.

this is true. the only metric that's going to matter for this year is ncaa tournament wins

Don't let it stop you from posting. This has always been the way this place has been, the good fans/happyclappers vs. the realists/"miserables". I have been accused of being in both camps at various times. Don't let it bother you.

I'm glad you stand by your statement it shows just how classy you are..If you were booing the refs and everyone else was too, which they weren't (go back and read the rest of my post I edited it) it had to be out of frustration because from what I watched the refs did a good job, people were frustrated..IMO we got a lot more calls than they did..In which it should be that way we were at home..

RE: ***Official Memphis vs Harvard Game Thread***
The booing started at 13:57 when the Harvard guy moved his pivot trying to post Goodwin.

Then, the Harvard guy had Shaq's arm hooked and wouldn't let it up at the 13:21 mark. They booed there too.

11:14 was the Next TO. No booing anywhere.

Amaker called a TO @10:19 after Shaq and DJ got back to back dunks.

Shaq was held by Harvard@9:02 going for a rebound. He was called for that foul. Then he got T'd up. Boos started again.

They hit the Tech FT then Geron got scored on. Pastner called a Time out. The crowd booed again.

I have watched Memphis for a while and have never heard the crowd boo the team.

So the Tigers were booed on their home court for the first time since when is more plausible than the crowd still be upset at the refs for the fouls. I forgot the one on Geron when he was standing still and Harvard player ran into him and fell down.

It really doesn't matter to me one way or the other..I just posted something that I thought was odd because I haven't heard that in a long time and I wouldn't post something just to start arguments..That's why I went back and edited my post about some people around me were actually yelling some of the players names and booing..maybe it was just some of the people in my little section, not me, that was booing and yelling at our team..I meant no harm in my post whatsoever..I wish I hadn't even posted it now..You can't put anything on here anymore without being attacked or called a liar or full of whatever..I've posted my share of negatives and positives on this board, I think both are good to debate..I'll admit lately I've posted a lot of negative things but all in all It's just my opinion but I never degrade anyone..

Exactly this.

I went back and watched that segment of the game again and it does seem as though the booing was directed at the refs because there had been a number of questionable calls by the officials leading up to the booing. Plus, the crowd was anxious and frustrated and they probably wanted to vent on someone, so why not the refs? I doubt many who were booing were directing their anger at the players or Pastner. As always, I could be wrong though.
