Florida didn't deserve to be in... Georgia should have been the 2nd SEC team.

Like Oklahoma hasn't had the chance to go to a big bowl game every year. Whiners. What about when we were 10-2 and didn't get a bowl game at all?

YES! Now THAT was wrong. Didn't hear any of the talking heads at ESPN saying how unfair that was...

"In the end, Iowa had a difficult year, and here they (NIU) lose to them and go on and play a bunch of teams that we'd all love to play. To me, that's not valuing strength of schedule enough."

Well, there's a simple solution for that, coach. Schedule a meeting with Joe Castiglione and your boosters, and inform them that you'd like to join the MAC. I'm sure the Sooners would stand a good chance of being granted at least a Football-only invite.

RE: Stopps still upset about NIU's BCS Bid
Those computers have been REALLY bad to Oklahoma and Stoops.

In 2003, he and his #1 team got their asses kicked by KSU in the big 12 Championship game as a 14 point dog. I know. I was there and bet on KSU, and won. Yet, his team remained #1 in the computers, went to Championship, only to LOSE to LSU.

In 2008, his team was #4 and beat Mizzou to go to BCS. They had LOST to #3 Texas, who was idle, earlier in season, who lost to #5 TT on the road. They went to #1. They went to both championships based on SOS/BCS rating, only to lose to Florida in OB.

Guess he forgot about that, that championship game likely as well as the beatdown by T A&M.

But I guess his team "wasn't focused" and "dissappointed."

Dare we mention Oklahoma's loss to Boise St. in the Fiesta Bowl?

Maybe his problem isn't the BCS. FAR FROM IT it would dare to say.

Perhaps it's too much LOSING in the BCS.

If true blame THE COACH.

One thing I know for certain, Notre Dame would have lost by at least as much to FSU as NIU did.

Oklahomas shocking home-loss to Notre Dame and pathetic Bowl game performance clearly show that the Sooners did not belong in a BCS bowl this year.

Probably. Notre Dame NIU would have been interesting.

Instead of spending so much time crying, maybe Stoops ought to be more concerned about trying to keep his players from getting arrested.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm sure they can get an invite to the MAC any time they want.
