That is exactly what happened to the 76 team with Eldon Miller.

Akron is lucky to have a very good coach who seems to be sticking around and has really helped lift them to elite level in the MAC.
Shaka Smart is like that at VCU as another example.

I personally enjoy following this team that is consistently good, not great, and yet I do think a coach like Hawk will have to have that super year and win it all in the next year or two with this group. I see this current roster as having the talent to do that. Have a strong year this year, and pull it off next year. I don't think we can afford to win any less than 19 games this year, and figure to have that breakout year next year, if that makes any sense.

I also believe that it is totally acceptable to disagree with our coaches strategies and decisions. In fact I enjoy analysis from us 'bench coaches'. But until they fire Hawk, I will support him and believe we will get there up to the point I just outlined.

Great points all, which the HAWK HATERS will take great issue with since once again facts are behind your post. However I doubt that we get to 19 wins without changes in playing time for a couple of players. 17 would seem more likely in my opinion. Hope I'm wrong. Now lets go get those Bobcats today.
