Taylor has a workout with a team on Friday that is high on him and needs QB depth. It should be a good situation.
Oakland needs depth.
Not correct but thanks for playing. :)

Jets, Texans, maybe rams?

One of those reached out but not the team for Friday.

Nope. This is not a good game because it wouldn't be cool to identify the team at this point.

Honesty question... At what point do ya stop chasing the NFL dream and settle for Canadian Football League. Obviously if NFL teams are still bring him in to workout its still alive for him. I'd hate to see him flirt with NFL teams for years and never play when he can probably play in the CFL for years.

I assume practice squad money is still more than CFB starter money, but I have not a clue. It's cold up there, it better be worth it.

NFL Patriots Practice squad = $15,000 a week $255K/year ..... how long would you chase $15,000 a week plus perks, and you only work half the year?

Simple. If you think you have a legitimate shot, you work you @$$ off and chase it. When you don't, you give up.

FWIW, you can make more than that on the practice squad. Teams offer more to entice players to join.

The numbers above are higher than practice squad minimums.

I'd say that when his agents phone stops ringing then go to plan B. Which is the CFL or something else. Doesn't sound like that is the case right now. I personally think Jacksonville would be a good spot for him.

NFL minimum of $7,200 per week for practice squad during season. Kick in living expenses, personal trainers and agent fees and the unknown if you have a job next week can be frustrating.

While there are some weird expenses that most people don't have to deal with, thats a hell of a lot more money than most people his age. Considering many of them didn't have to pay for college either don't have the debt too. Rough math is like $175k for six months of work assuming he sticks on the PS. I think chasing that dream while getting that kind of cash is worth the uncertainty it comes with.

That doesn't include sponsorship money either or appearance fees. Even minor guys can get a little extra.

Watching the Eagles Panthers game and Rick Lovato just got some airtime. Commentators said, “There’s Rick Lovato. Demi Lovato’s husband. Nah, I’m just making that up.” He then asked how many people just picked up their phone to Google Rick Lovato.

Front office said he did well but not able to add a 3rd QB now. They will be able to soon, and Taylor is in the running. He has another workout with another team on Tuesday.
