I doubt that BT's remarks are as calculated as that. IMO it is probably more a case of having a microphone in his face and having to say something. Human nature is to say something which leans toward self-preservation. As far as trying to fool the casual fans by overblowing SOS, I think BT knows as well as we do that the casual fan is already lost as far as this season goes. I personally don't think that the engagement level of casual fans will matter nearly as much in determining BT's future at ODU as does Wood Selig's, and the major money donor's and sponsor's perception of the program. I doubt any of them would be fooled by such posturing, and I doubt BT would think they could.

He has also been touting the grades for the last semester. Pretty funny.

Well he has an exccuse for the UDel game. Looks like Bacote is out, he took a bad blow to the face against JMU.

As much as I like Bacote and his potential, I actually think we are in a better position with him out, assuming Batten gets the minutes (kind of like we played better overall with Palmore out). Nothing against either Bacote or Palmore, I like them both, but sticking Batten below them in the depth chart is inexcusable.

Was looking forward to seeing Bacote play in person. Finally going to a game and he's hurt.

At the moment, I'm more comfortable with Bacote out there than Palmore. I just feel like he is a little more confident. But I definitely agree Batten needs to play more. he's starting to act like a leader out there, when he gets the chance. I've see him telling the other players what to do lately (at least when he gets the ball) and for the most part they listen.

I'm still hoping one of the guards would take on the leadership role, if Batten was a starter it could be him. Bacote is doing ok for a freshman and seems to be improving, I'm lost to what's happing to Keenan, was very high on him coming into the season.

Bacote is a typical freshman. Great game followed by horrible game. And JMU was his really horrible game. He had 4 T/Os at the half and 2 more in the first 100 seconds of the second half.
