We are already considered amateurs by the national stage, the last thing we want is to show up looking like a bunch of squirrels and giving the media something else to chew on.

That said. IF we were to do something new (and we weren't giving a damn about branding), I'd say go all white. White jerseys, white pants, light grey numbers, white helmets and ghosted NIU logo.

We have those all the time now. They have red metallic flecks.

NO to the white pants! I HATED when the Bears did it and I have never liked it since! And yes I am using the word HATE about the color of some football pants. That is how strongly I feel about it...

Thank you. We wore all white with black helmets when Sadler was here. The LeShon Johnson highlights against Iowa were in all-whites.

They look like s#*t.

And I like all-whites normally, just not for an NIU uniform.

I don't like all white uniforms anywhere. Period. Makes the players look like a bunch of fairies.

1. Another HUSKIE first down

Or

2. Another HUSKIES first down?

My wife and I like HUSKIE but noticed that the PA announcer uses Huskies.

The PA announcer changed this year to HUSKIES, after saying HUSKIE for several years. No idea why.

I like HUSKIE better too, but what he really needs to do is make the call earlier. He often makes the call way too late, almost up to the time the ball is being snapped for the next play.

I've always said "Huskie First Down." However, now that you mention it, I remember the Northern Star style guide dictates that we are Huskies and unless referencing a sole player (Jordan Lynch is a Huskie), it is always to be Huskies.

Hence the team achieves the first down, and collectively they are Huskies.

OK, how about HuskieWire vs. HuskiesWire?
