I went all the way back to 1999 and Louisiana-Lafayette was in the top 20 in attendance only one time. They were ranked #20 in 2003. Otherwise it's a scatter of ranks in the 20's to 40's. That doesn't sound like being a consistent top 20 team in attendance to me.

well- I would like to think the cajuns would stick around. as a uta fan I am happy to be in a conf. with them..just sayin if c-usa is trying to upgrade..the cajuns should be on their radar because them and stAte are the closest programs to the big time that are left both in fact and in perception by the average fan out there. wku makes middle happy but how much pull do they have. If the belt could hang to what's here now, could be a pretty good conf. let middle and wku play ooc games against each other. keep u-laf and stAte and build on that..maybe uta will eventually restart football and all will be happy.

USA should be included.... They are a founding member of the conference. Yes they are new to football but the other sports they have excelled in. And I doubt they will fail in football.

Thanks BR, but Please don't put us in that boat . . . the kind of "core" these guys are talkin' about clearly means puttin' in some time, and workn' together as a group to raise the perception of the Conference. We haven't been around (the Belt) long enough, nor have we made any on-field contribution to make us "core" worthy . . . yet!

Going down the tubes together is a terribly romantic notion but not very realistic. All four would cut each others throats to get out of the SunBolt. That is except for ULM. They seem rather happy to be here.
