Quote:Romney apparently was referencing conservative bloggers who misrepresented a Bloomberg story from Monday that discussed Chrysler’s decision to consider starting Jeep production in China, the world’s largest new-vehicle market.

That story, while accurate, sparked a raft of other stories and blogs that incorrectly concluded that Chrysler might close plants or move Jeep production from the U.S. to China.

Gualberto Ranieri, Chrysler’s vice president of communications, criticized those stories Thursday even before Romney made his comments.

“Let’s set the record straight: Jeep has no intention of shifting production of its Jeep models out of North America to China,” Ranieri said. “It’s simply reviewing the opportunities to return Jeep output to China, for the world’s largest auto market. U.S. Jeep assembly lines will continue to stay in operation.”

A spokesperson for the Romney campaign declined to comment.

They said nothing about shutting down all production here and moving it to China. Lie.

You can read, Max. He certainly did imply that... which is why the guy had to post a correction. Interestingly, the guy who said it works for the parent company, and the guy you quote works for the domestic company. Chrysler may have no thoughts of moving production, but Fiat may well.

If THIS is the biggest "lie" you have on Romney, you've lost all perspective.

He said he read an article. He did. You've read it as well. He said he would fight for American jobs and fairness out of China.

Exactly what is the lie? He didn't say Fiat is doing this... he said he read an

What's the lie? Are you kidding?

""I saw a story today that one of the great manufacturers in this state Jeep -- now owned by the Italians -- is thinking of moving all production to China. I will fight for every good job in America. I'm going to fight to make sure trade is fair, and if it's fair America will win.""

Even if you read the word "output" in the BusinessWeek article as meaning the entire car gets produced in China and have no idea what "localize" means, it says nothing about closing American plants at all.

Fail. Bradley is just another diploma mill.

The lie was suggesting the article said Jeep was considering moving all production to China when he had to know better.

You can't reasonably believe Romney said something false in a prepared speech that he didn't know was false.

The video didn't play any role. People don't show up to spontaneous protests carrying mortars and RPG's. Good lord you really do carry his jock don't you.

He gets his info from right wing crazy blogs. This is even further proof that if he gets elected, he will just be a puppet for the extremists. Dude has no moral spine and they know it.

No, the lie was suggesting it was the video when he had to know better. He watched it on TV while eating popcorn with his buddies, laughing and drinking.

Which tells you all you need to know about Max... look up Sychophant

Let me show you a TRUE lie Max

1) Obama: I read an article today saying that Romney has proposed $5 trillion in tax cuts for the wealthy

That is a truth, that he read the article, even though the premise is a lie... that Romney proposed such a cut

2) Obama: Mitt Romney has proposed 5 trillion in tax cuts for the wealthy...

This is an absolute falsehood, and everyone knows it.... because it has been described since day one as a revenue neutral rate cut... which by definition means
that there is not a dollar in the reduction of revenue to the government or a reduction in the amount paid by the rich. I've shown you the math

The funny thing is, Obama never said 1)... but he DID say 2). But you're okay with this because it helps "your guy".

Note that Romney's supposed lie is true even if you change the wording, because if demand for jeeps increases in China, and we currently only build them here... and we start building them there, those are jobs that don't go to US workers, and you lose the jobs attributed to the domestic output that currently gets shipped overseas. Romney didn't blame Obama, he merely said he will fight for American jobs and fairness from China. If you don't think that if they build jeeps over there and discover they can build them cheaper, that they won't move production, you're foolish.

Obama's lie is an outright, bold faced lie... and he knows its a lie because Romney has told him face to face, refuting his conclusion... to which Obama has responded with ANOTHER lie... that his plan is not his plan. Specific lie number 2, and one directly aimed at "the enemy"... rather than China.

Americans with a different perspective aren't the enemy, Obama and Max.

Not really Tom. The word comes from the Greek, where "the accuser", the one telling lies to accomplish the goals of the powerful. Max fits that definition to a tee. Why is he doing it? for his own personal gain in some way. His reward need not come from Obama's knowledge of his actions. He intends to benefit in some way, and is willing to lie to accomplish his goal. He is the footsoldier of Obama doing the masters bidding.

Again, bottom line is that what Mitt said was 100% factually wrong. If it helps you sleep better saying he didn't lie...go right ahead. The rest of us know what Mitt is and we have made it crystal clear to you. So if he wins, just remember we told you so.

How about from Bloomberg d!ckcheese.

Fiat Says Jeep Output May Return to China as Demand Rises

Quote:Fiat SpA (F), majority owner of Chrysler Group LLC, plans to return Jeep output to China and may eventually make all of its models in that country, according to the head of both automakers’ operations in the region.

Quote:Fiat is in “very detailed conversations” with its Chinese partner, Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. (2238), about making Jeeps in the world’s largest auto market, said Mike Manley, chief operating officer of Fiat and Chrysler in Asia. Chrysler hasn’t built Jeeps there since before Fiat took control in 2009.

“The volume opportunity for us is very significant,” Manley, who is also president of the Jeep brand, said in an interview at Chrysler’s Auburn Hills, Michigan, headquarters. “We’re reviewing the opportunities within existing capacity” as well as “should we be localizing the entire Jeep portfolio or some of the Jeep portfolio.”

So to review for abject morons like Maxi Goebbels and RedwingRobert.

Romney said:
Quote: "I saw a story today that one of the great manufacturers in this state Jeep -- now owned by the Italians -- is thinking of moving all production to China.

What do you know. There is an article in Bloomberg, in no way, shape or form a "right wing rag" that says precisely that.

Any and all efforts of Maxi Goebbels and his little buddy RedwingRobert to say Romney lied is just further illustration of their intellectual and moral bankruptcy in service to their messiah. It's a disease really.

The disease marches on.

You know if you had a 4th grade level of reading comprehension you'd be so much less pathetic.

One more time, because you're stupid.

Tom... Do you not even realize that you're focusing on the immaterial, or are you just so desperate that you don't care?

Romney didn't say it was going to happen. He said he read an article that said it could happen. Until they changed the headline (obvious from the link to the article I posted) that was EXACTLY what the headline described... and only a "wanton fool" wouldn't recognize that "localizing" a product wasn't good news for Detroit.

You and Max and Obama and company don't even know what "revenue-neutral" mean. Obama is telling bold faced lies about his opponent in an attempt to paint him in a negative light. Even if I agree that Romney lied, which I don't, he didn't say Obama said it or that it was even Obama's fault. Change the words to Fiat is thinking about building Jeeps in China. Does that meaningfully change the story? No. Romney would fight to keep those jobs that would go to China to make something we already make here, here. Positive spin vs negative spin... because negative is the only thing you have left.

Can you say the same about Obama's lie?

No.

Boner, Romney has also included the misleading line from bloomberg without any context, in his latest ad. He has yet to respond to calls for clarification of the actual intentions of Jeep.

He is the one who is desperate.

Would you really want to open a plant in the US? We have unions, high regulation, and high taxes. Having a guy like Obama scares business out of the US.

To counter the severe slump in European sales, Marchionne is considering building Chrysler models in Italy, including Jeeps, for export to North America. The Italian government is evaluating tax rebates on export goods to help Fiat. Marchionne may announce details of his plan as soon as Oct. 30, the people said.

So Tom and Max are wrong again.

Interestingly, what Romney SPECIFICALLY said about China would equally apply here, since giving tax rebates on exports could be considered "unfair".
