but if by some miracle we did go 11-1 it would be as legit as legit. playing the top 4 competitors on the road? that's why i warned folks our record might not be as good as last year's during the preseason. but i didn't expect us to to start out 4-1 either. i honestly felt it coulda been 1-4. would have been thrilled with 3-2.

and there were folks on the den saying the refs cheated. even on an obvious pass interference call.

and there were many posts devoted to benson cheating for western before the game.

i had to laugh at some of them as we have the paranoiacs on our board as well.

The four top competitors?

preseason amigo....preaseason.

everyone in the polls AND on this board had us firmly in 4th. we play the 3 ahead of us all on the road. troy is also on the road and in most polls were 5th or 6th. a tough road game no matter what position.

most preseason had you guys down lower. we do have you at home. no slight intended towards you. we also don't get to play south al so this will be a pretty tough schedule.

fortunately the toppers have been a good road team. a running heavy offense helps lose those 3 and outs on the road. shortens the game. our only 2 wins 2 years ago were on the road.

we did win at your place last year so if we had you on the road this year it would have been difficult but not impossible.

Regarding LT, I'm sure they point to their win over UVa as a "big" win but Virginia is absolutely horrendous this year. They got blown out by freaking Duke. And Duke hasn't even been to a bowl in decades. Not as good as you'd think.

No, it's not sarcastic. We hate LSU fans. Some fringe Tech message board posters have a distaste for the teams in the Sunbelt but those fans are insignificant and insecure to begin with. If that sample is how you view the entire fan base then you have your head on backwards. Is Trojan Campaign the stock and trade Troy fan?

I'm not young and I know full well about our former reputation. My point is that Arkansas State is not on a Tech fan's radar enough for them to hate you these days.
