get lost CUSA boy.

I think it's ok to talk football anywhere in any of these forums. I'm not causing any trouble.
Actually it was 35 but, a lot of games were FBS/FCS which they didn't consider (note TTech not ranked) some teams not having played and some games cancelled/moved, people voted on FBS/FBS matchups.
We pulled an upset and someone felt us worthy. Deal with it.
We're all taking screen shots knowing this may very well not happen for another decade.

We're better than anyone expected - even our fans. This team believes and wants to do the unexpected.
I think we give TTU a good game and go on from there.

I think that's all cool. Congrats. It was a huge upset. 2nd biggest point spread overcome ever I heard, maybe?

One voter in the AP picked you guys 16th (that's what I've heard) and that got you 10 points. I don't think you guys are that good. No offense intended. I will be rooting for you guys every game this year except against UTSA and I hope you guys kick butt in the Sun Belt.

I'm looking forward to experiencing your new stadium Saturday too!

Texas is big enough for 12 successful FBS teams. Texas vs the World! = )

RE: Texas State #35
Here's what the AP voter that put us 16th wrote:

• Texas State 16th after beating Houston at Houston. Simple – first FBS game ever, on the road, against a team that has been successful for several years now, and quite possibly the biggest upset of the week. Are the Bobcats the 16th best team in the country? No. Will they be 16th after they play Texas Tech? Only if they win. Is this an outrage? Only to people who only want the same teams in every week. To me, Week 1 is the most volatile poll of the year, and some things in Week 1 look ridiculous in Week 4. They should, if you’re paying attention at all.

Result: Don’t steal their moment. It doesn’t hurt you any.

More in depth as to why Texas St got a 16th place vote in the AP poll

http://deadspin.com/5940603/why-texas-st...he-ap-poll

Ratto writes in an email:

"My rationale, which I would assume will be dismissed as the ravings of an idiot, is that of all the upsets Saturday, the one foreseen by the fewest people was this one. Texas State dominated the game away from home against a team that averaged nine wins over the last six years in its first FBS game ever. Outgained them by more than 100, had the ball for 43 minutes - that kind of dominated. In fact, it went over so well that Houston fired its offensive coordinator the next day. Is 16 too generous? Probably. Could they disappear next week against Texas Tech? Hell yes they could. It's Week 2. But for one night, with so little data in what is always the worst week of the year for drawing conclusions, I'm fine with them where they are."

Thanks! I don't see us at 35, or 25, or 16 . . truth be told . . not sure after only 1 game where we are . . . but I'm fairly certain that we'll have a better idea after the Tech game Sat. GO BOBCATS, SO SBC!

I think it is great......like the addition before this game and love it now and hope for them a WAC title.......As a side note wish all SBC teams from here out would turn down CUSA to say....."You know a year or 2 ago we would have jumped at the chance.....Now we are passing you or soon will so good luck with your travel all over the place and your low end conference mates....How bout we schedule a few bowls between us...." PS......wait till Southern Miss gets tired of carrying the rest of you.....PSS....USM invitation open to SBC!!

There's three ways this game is being looked at by fans:

1. SB fans: A Sunbelt team beat a CUSA team.
2. WAC fans: A WAC team beat a CUSA team.
3. CUSA fans: HAHA, UH sux.

Should you beat LA Tech this year in the WAC, I think you'll find that your entry next year will be met by MANY rounds of beer and tailgating worship by SBC fans.
