I agree with you, BC87. We are better than most gave us credit for and we absolutely ambushed an overrated Houston, but we're still new to FBS and have a long way to go. I'm grateful to the SBC for giving us a home to build upon. Go SBC!

The road gets a little tougher because you won't be able to sneak up on anyone else, anytime soon. With that said, look 'em all in the eyes and smash 'em!

I am glad that you guys are not getting a swelled head. Houston is way overrated (hell in truth they were overrated last year and before you say it so was Penn State and that was talked a lot last year) but even so that is a great win for a new FBS program for sure.

I get what you're saying (a few years back we nearly knocked off A&M), It aint about scary . . . The fact of the matter is We (TX ST) are not in the same league as Texas . .. First off, they've got more money than God . . . (I heard that because of the recession, God recently asked Mac Brown for a loan), better facilities, and can out recruit us all the live long day (Face it, give a 5 star the choice of Texas or TX ST right now, & he's Hook'en his way to Austin), so to suggest we play them every year, and beat their bums . . . not very realistic . . there's a reason we're called Mid-Majors. Now, with time, growth, and development . . could we one day reach a point where we have a shot at competing with them year in and year out . . . who's to say (We give 'em a pretty good run for their money in baseball right now), if you'd have told me 15 years ago that we'd be entertaining TX Tech next week in San Marvelous, I'd have thought you were crazy . . . . yet here we are. If we are going to compete with the Goliath's of the world, I think it'll happen in other sports first, like baseball . . . . (I would have added or basketball, but our current program prohibits it). Glad we got a BIG win against the Coogs (4-1 all time Vs. Houston), Glad to be in the Belt, but we gotta keep it real . .. and at this level, we still have to prove we belong, that'll take more than one game . .. . GO BOBCATS! GO SBC!

You guys will probably beat us. You guys are years ahead of our program. That doesn't make you top 25. = )

I'm going to see you guys sooner than November. Saturday I'm going to the UTSA game at 1pm and the TXST game at 6pm. I hope you guys give Tech a game (like you did for 1/2 the game last year). = )
