Never questioned if the fan base would know what it is and for that matter I didn't say the StJ logo was needed to clearify what the original tattoo was. Just thought the StJ logo I posted was something that had been used for a long time and quite frankly is the coolest logo St John's has to choose from.

Looks like the Red Storm Bear moved down south and changed his name to the Mississippi Black Bear.

Everyone from the area knows that image. They'll always be the Redmen to me.

Exactly! No one in the tri-state area ever bought into the "Red Storm" name. Most just call them the Johnnies now, which we should have just used as our nickname.

Tnzazz-I can't wait until you guys get to come up tp the Garden for both a game against the Johnnies and then again for the Big East tourny. It will be a shock to the system to see a conference tounry like this.

We never were officially the Johnnies, it's our unofficial name that the fans use. Announcers also call us the Johnnies most times.
