In at least one way, you both propose restrictions on freedoms (ie. abortion, gay unions [not gay marriage please AL], requiring insurance, buying certain bulbs).

To what tolerable sufference does restricting freedoms in disregard to the Declaration of Independence help or hinder Liberty?

That's not the way the game has been played. Liberal MSM never challenge the dem candidates like they do the GOP challenger. They carry a bagful of softballs for the dem every time.

How about just asking, "what would be your approach to solving the deficit problem?" That allows each of them to talk about what they would do and go to where they are comfortable. It would allow Obama to duck the question and talk, as he always does about "investments" he wants to make (spending) and would show those watching that he does not want to talk about cutting spending. Romney wouldn't be bothered by the question and would gladly use it to show the differences between a leader and a poser.

I've never seen a debate where either side gets into details about how they would solve the problem. Because that would require cuts, and neither side will admit to what they're cutting, certainly not in a debate on national TV. That's why I hate TV debates.

When are you going to allow LE to follow Immigration Law. On the Mexico side of the border every inch of the border is covered and no matter where you cross you have to pay or you get killed.
