From each according to his ability, to each according to his need
Karl Mar........oh, wait, no, that's Obama.

Quote:"Too many folks still don't have a sense that tomorrow will be better than today. And so, the question in this election is which way do we go?" President Obama asked at a fundraiser in Chicago on Sunday.

"Do we go forward towards a new vision of an America in which prosperity is shared?" Obama asked. "Or do we go backward to the same policies that got us in the mess in the first place?"

"I believe we have to go forward," Obama said.
"I believe we have to keep working to create an America where no matter who you are, no matter what you look like, no matter where you come from, no matter what your last name is, no matter who you love, you can make it here if you try. That's what's at stake in November. That's what is why I am running for a second term as president of the United States of America."

How about sharing a work ethic, you f'n retard, and no, not your work ethic. Your work ethic sucks. As does most of what you do.

"If I try"?

Why, so he can come back and tell me I didn't build it?

RE: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need
Why does he need a second term when he said he could do it during his first? And why does he need to make promises, when, unlike Romney, Obama IS the president and can do it now? Why do we need to wait until some unspecified date in the future for him to do something now or should have done in the past?

^THIS!!!!:iagree:

Sadly the answer is the majority of us do not want a socialist country so he would lose by a landslide if he did this before the election. Plus, he must need more than one term to emplement everything he wants to do and make sure it sticks. It scares me to think of what could happen with another 4 years of Obama.

What scares me is that so many in this country can't recognize Marxism when it is spoken as clearly as that example.

While Paul Ryan is saying:

Quote:"We look at one another's success with pride, not resentment, because we know that as more Americans work hard, take risks, succeed, more people will prosper, more communities will benefit. And individual lives will be improved… We promise equal opportunity, not equal outcomes,"

While I'm not a fan of the R's, they are CLEARLY talking the right game right now.

We've seen how good he's been on all his other promises, so I won't be holding my breath.

Well I think Obama is just great.

If I was a communist I probably wouldn't appreciate the Right's ridiculous hijacking of that word to mean any taxing and spending they don't like.

One more reason that the Senate and House need to go Republican this time.. checks and balances...

What worries me is that virtually everyone here thinks it is the government's job to guide the economy.

It isn't.

It's the government's job to insure liberty and tranquility.

The rest is up to us.

Killed bin Laden
Saved American auto industry
Gaddafi's toppled with no American casualties
We've gone from losing 800k jobs/month to gaining 150k/month (average this year)
We've created nearly 5 million jobs the last 3 years
We've gone from negative 8 percent GDP growth to positive 2 percent
Repealed DADT
Universal health care to cover 30 million so that no longer will 3 people die prematurely every hour
Insurance companies can't discriminate against people with pre existing conditions
Rebates for policyholders if the insurance company doesn't spend 80% of premiums on healthcare
Equal pay for women
Ended Iraq War, set end date for Afghanistan War
Ended torture
Student loan reform to allow borrowers to refinance
Race to the Top
Increased Head Start funding
Restored our international standing and credibility
Nuclear non proliferation and arms reduction treaties with Russia
Closed Medicare prescription donut hole
Slows the growth of Medicare costs over the next 10 years by $700B, created a board to find more ways to cut costs without affecting quality of care
Removed restrictions on promising embryonic stem cell research, renewed funding
Closed offshore tax havens
Dow Jones has doubled

But yea, aside from that you can say he has no accomplishments.

As for working with the GOP, it's pretty hard to do so when every one of their presidential candidates rejected $10 in spending cuts for $1 in new revenues. They're completely unreasonable. Let's be serious.
