Zimmerman's bond revoked
Turns out he had another passport in addition to the one his lawyer surrendered in court. Very, very stupid move on Z's part. So now he'll have to wait on the inside until the case comes up for trial, which could be next year. May also put him in a frame of mind to accept a plea-offer. One thing that hasn't changed is that there is still no reason to think the State of Florida can get a jury to convict him of murder.

Stupid moves don't make him any less guilty or innocent. But he doent need the bad publicity now. But he's a registered democrat where intelligence is not required to be a member.

I heard it was because he didn't disclose the $200,000 he made from his website.

Credibility will be an issue now.

Republicans don't exactly know how to put the square peg in the square hole either.

They should know where he is unless he also slipped his GPS Monitor.

RE: Zimmerman's bond revoked
The money thing seems a bit of a contrived issue to me. But the passport isn't, and that's incredibly stupid on his part.
You've got a situation where if he retains his credibility and is the only witness who can describe the whole event (and the latter seems likely at this point) then it would be hard to convict him of anything. So why do anything that risks credibility? The obvious implication is guilt. Maybe not the correct one, but the obvious one.
If his lawyer knew about any of this, then he didn't get very good counsel.

Agreed; the passport issue is CLASSIC stupidity on Zimmerman's part.
If he actually attempts to run to another country would elevate it to an ELE (extinction level event).

At trial i doubt they could get the passport evidence in. Too prejudicial and not related to the shooting.

RE: Zimmerman's bond revoked
I predicted this on here a few weeks ago. Zimmerliar is a first class idiot. Apparently he was talking to his wife from jail in code: "Do you have $8.70?" "No, it's up to $9.50 now." LOL how stupid does he think law enforcement is?
"Hey, the judge threw you in jail for lying right? No further questions."

Oh yea that proves second degree murder...

But that's the whole point. If he keeps his nose clean between now and trial, it's going to be pretty hard to make anything stick, since the only living witness to the whole event is Zimmerman himself. But doing things that damage his credibility take away his best weapon at trial. Now, obviously it's going to take a bit more artful approach than Max's to get it in. But if he testifies, then it can come in to attack his credibility.
What's interesting from a tactical standpoint is how the prosecution establishes a prima facie case. They're going to have to prove up all the elements with no testimony from Zimmerman, or else he walks. Unless he signed some statement that hasn't come to light and is admissible, I can see great difficulty in doing that.
An assistant DA friend tells me that 90% of convicted criminals would have walked but for their own statements. So if you shut up, you walk. Whatever else he is or is not, Zimmerman is really, really stupid.

The money thing is just as important as the passport issue, IMO. They have him on tape, talking in 'code' (lol) about the money he knew he had before going to the judge and claiming he had no assets. Remember, if you're thinking of jumping bail, having money that the government isn't aware of is just as indicative of keeping a second passport.
Not an indication of his guilt in this situation, but it doesn't bode well for his intelligence and public perception.

RE: Zimmerman's bond revoked
It makes his own story look like that of a self serving liar, which makes whatever story the prosecution comes up with a lot more attractive.
Now he definitely does not want to take the stand (which is generally the case, as I believe most criminal defense lawyers would tell you), because by taking the stand his credibility is in issue and these embarassing lies come in. But I think if he doesn't take the stand there might be enough to convict-- you have the 9/11 calls which show him in aggressive pursuit ("The punks always get away") and the screams which some forensic scientists say can't be Trayvon. So before this maybe his lawyer wanted to put him on the stand just because he was the only person who actually saw what happened, but now because his testimony might backfire they're in a tight spot with one less arrow in the quiver and need to argue the physical evidence.
Oh, and the judge can tell a jury not to hold against a defendant the fact he isn't taking the stand on his own behalf (legally, they can't) but in reality I bet they do most of the time.

Exactly. I still think the prosecution has a rough go. They're going to have a circumstantial case at best--unless heretofore unknown some star witness pops out of the woodwork. But Zimmerman has just wasted the silver bullet he had. Incredibly stupid.

They don't need to put him on the stand, they can esialy get their own witnesses to (1) point out that he stopped breahting heavy and walked back when told to (2) that the screams cant be proven to be him..
This changes nothing because, well, he was not going to take the stand either way. The prosecution has *no* evidence, none, that zimmermans actions rise to Second degree murder. I seriously doubt they were ever going to put him on the stand.
A political rush to hang this guy could be what keeps him out of jail... That is unless we decide to go guilty until proven innocent..
