Sporting News: Longtime refs Tim Higgins, Bob Donato to retire

Higgins worked well after younger officials such as Gerald Boudreaux and Curtis Shaw retired to become officiating supervisors. He is 66, and StatSheet.com reported he worked 34 games this season, about half what he did two years ago.

Yep. They are both a disgrace to the game of College Basketball

Burr is generally a better official than Higgins. Both are eminently better than Ted Velentine.

Burr for Retirement, PLEEEEEEASE!

Guys, don't leave "Hollywood" Hightower out of this discussion, or John Cahl, who ejected Cincinnati's Radio announcer in a NCAA tournament game.

Good riddance. Don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out. Take Jim Burr with you while you are at it.

Burr, Higgins, Hightower and Cahl can all never officiate another game and it would be fine with me....
