Re-sign Mayo (w/ extra funds)
Sign Steve Novack to be our Kyle Korver (w/ extra funds)
Pondexter can start at the 3 and be a great defender and corner three-pointer threat. By doing this, can start Mayo (incentive for staying in Memphis) and Allen can be a defensive force off of the bench while Novack stretches the court with the second unit
PG - Conley, Serviceable veteran, Selby (hopefully a summer camp will help him)
SG - Allen, Mayo
SF - Pondexter, Novack
PF - Randolph, Arthur, Cunningham
C - Gasol, Haddadi
As a fan of the bulls, i can assure you we don't need a kyle korver type. But i know you meant we need a good shooter. Kyle korver rarely makes a basket when you really need him too.
Kyle korver sucked all of last year. He scored 12 points in 5 games against philly in the playoffs, and his defense is a joke which is why he can't stay on the floor very long.

RE: Tyreke Evans for Rudy Gay?
Why trade Rudy Gay for Melo your just trading one defensive liability for another. Tyreke does not have a mid range game so he would only affect Marc and Zbos spacing, plus from all the reports in Sac he is not that great of a teamate. I also am fed up with Rudy Gay he is making way to much money for the kind of production he gives us.

RE: Tyreke Evans for Rudy Gay?
Just because someone doesn't have a mid range game doesn't mean he will negatively effect Marc and Zach (spacing etc.). If he can create off the dribble, then that can open up opprutunities for them just as much as having a dead eye shooter on the wing. Both work just fine. We can agree to disagree, but I'm on board with Tyreke coming in for Rudy. He's been in the league 2 years and shows a ton of promise. The fans love him. DO IT!
FWIW, NY isn't getting rid of Melo. They'll get rid of anyone else other than Melo. So let's stop that.

I agree. I'll say this...I doubt Charlotte would trade the #1 (if they get it) for Z-Bo and Rudy. That's what scouts think of Davis. Now, obviously scouts don't know as much as some posters on here, but nonetheless there are people out there who believe Davis is a Duncan type of player (as far as organizational impact goes).

RE: Tyreke Evans for Rudy Gay?
Irks me knowing we couldve simply drafted Reke. With his ball handling and ability to get in the lane, he would have been a terror for little guards like cp3. Reke, TA, Rudy, Zbo, & Gasol wouldve been unfair..... Oh well.

Absolutely, but that's a story for a different day. We have a chance now to right our wrong.

What does Tyreke do better than Rudy? Put Rudy on that Sac team and he would average 25 a night.

Keep Rudy. He is a match up nightmare for anyone we play and we have our core set.
I would love to pick up Tyreke for OJ Mayo and a few details here and there. Tyreke would put Memphis over the top for the next several years.

I am tired of watching the likes of Kenyon Martin, at the age of 34, drive past Rudy (from the 3 point line to the hoop) and finish at the rim. Rudy has way too much God-given ability for that to ever happen. Rudy is soft! He doesn't handle the ball well when pressured and reverts to jumpers much too often. The potential for Rudy to be a SUPER STAR, not just an all-star, but a SUPER STAR is there. But potential means nothing if it isn't reached. IMHO, Rudy doesn't seem to have the desire to be consitently great. Hell, I might not either if I could get 20 and 6 without breaking a sweat and get a max contract. That just shows you the ability he has/could have...
That's all I have to say about that. I like Rudy, but I don't think he's a guy we can build around and he's costing us a small fortune. There are plenty of guys that can give us 14-16 a night that cost 1/3 of what we pay Rudy. That's all I am saying...
I'm just thankful its not up too you.
I think your nuts.

I would like to have Tyreke but no freaking way would I give up Rudy Gay for him.
That would be a horrible move.

defends better, handles the ball better, finishes at the rim better, gets to the foul line better.
Rudy has a better shot right now and is bigger but that's basically it. He's always been soft and passive and this clippers series is revealing that. He rarely gets to the hole in the 4th, just keeps taking jump shots. When he hits them, great, but tell me how well that's worked out for him this series.
You can't trade rudy for tyreke anyway due to salaries. The point is well made though that, for the production he gives us, rudy gay costs a lot of money. Hard to believe we couldn't get 19 points and 6 rebounds and 46% shooting from 2 mid level exception players playing 20 minutes each at the 3.

The Griz have a great inside game when they follow the game plan. They need some guys that can take it to the hole with authority.
I would be so disappointed if Melo ended up on the Grizz.
He seems to be the "best player on bad teams". He is a ballhog and he doesnt defend.

Our lack of ball handling skill is killing us at the end of games. Last night was a nightmare. 20 turnovers?

Thabeet was such an obvious bust-to-be in that draft.
Still can't believe they drafted that tool over Tyreke.

I would've rather drafted Curry over Tyreke. Would've solved our problems at backup point guard and given us a shooting threat.

Reke penetrating the lane wouldve gotten rudy open all day on the perimeter. Too good to be true I guess...
