That's awesome! Can we sign him now?
Sounds pretty impressive for a child his age.
I hope he will be the next Matt Cain.
Don't ever forget, kids play, coaches coach, and parents brag!

I have to ask, what kind of competition is he pitching against? I mean no disrepect. It sounds like your son is a diamond in the rough. I played competitive hardball for 35 years. By the teenage years it goes up another notch. It sounds like your son has a good start. I will give you a Tip. A good catcher can make a great pitcher. "it's called the Battery".

It's Dizzy Dean rec ball. I know it's small time, but he's dying to go competitive. At this point, there's nothing else he can learn from rec. I'm hoping to be able to swing getting him with a competitive team next season. Right now, he's just head and shoulders above everyone he's playing against.

Since we're bragging....my son pitched 4 no hit innings the other night, was 3-4 with a base clearing triple that was literally feet from being a grand slam. He accounted for 7 of our ten runs in a 10-3 win.
He is also ranked top ten in the state in several events that he swims and has swam qualifying times for next year's state meet in 9 of the 10 events he swam last weekend at a state sanctioned swim meet, the first of the swim year. He could not swim in another meet all year and he is qualified to be at the state meet. Most swimmers take all year to qualify in a couple events. Ranks #2 in the state in the 50 yard longcourse backstroke and 4th in the state in the 100 yard longcourse free.
He was also rated most outstanding woodwind player for playing sax in the middle school band. The band is large, that is out of 25 or so woodwind players.
We have two other kids and he is the youngest, and yes, they are all talented in a lot of ways.
I married up.
