Pretty impressive growth.

It's decent growth, now lets see which of you is about to grow to the 30k range consistently and how long it takes to get there. ULL had one season near it, and hopefully that becomes the new norm for them.

A couple more bowl tie ins (yes it could happen) and the same time together as a conference as you guys have had and I think most of our teams get up around 30K.

30K is gonna be easy this year for UL. Used to be season tickets were plentiful and easy to find...not so anymore. I have my two and I am trying to nab another one for my daughter...no such luck. Nothing even remotely close. 30K will be the norm this year for sure.

Good to hear. I hope it becomes the norm for the long term with you guys and with others in the Sun-Belt.

It bugs me that every school except for TROY has taken a step forward. TROY took a step back this year.

We kind of lost all but three games this season and hosted no good OOC teams. That kind of kills a season.

Don't worry we will have 20k this year with Miss St and Navy at home.

ULM takes a step back every year, FAU took a massive step backwards and hired a new coach, UNT is ONLY celebrating their market size (cue picture of a dejected Tony Mitchell), and Middle is still trying to figure out how they didn't make the NCAA tournament. Troy is not alone in this regard.

Eh, everyone has a down year blood. Don't worry about it. We were so far ahead of everyone else that it was just more noticeable that they made headway and we did so lousy. We'll be back to our normal butt-kicking form soon enough.

Don't feel too bad. Most Sun Belt programs haven't excelled on the field like Troy. A down year doesn't hurt so bad when you can look back at several conference titles. Troy will get back to the top tier of the Belt.

Agreed. I've felt the same about Middle. Things are looking better and better, even with last year's fiasco of a 2-10 record. We had our biggest crowd ever last year (30k+), won 10 games in 2009 (and won a bowl game), went to a bowl in 2010, and are hosting Vandy in the near future. Only place to go is up, and I think things will get very exciting around MT football very soon.

UNT improved on the field last season, and finished a game away from bowl eligibility. We have plenty to celebrate at UNT. I don't know why you feel you need to take shots at UNT. ULL had a good season, but it's not like you won the conference title.

I don't think Troy had a down year. Every team has to reset every three to four years. Look at Texas.

The thing most Troy and MT fans have to realize is the bottom of the SBC has gotten a lot better in the last few years. With the rise of UL, ASU, FIU, WKU....the days of dominating the SBC are probably in the past.

Last year, the teams who have been at the bottom of the league turned the standings upside down. The SBC is going to be more competitive than ever. Hopefully, this translates into some OOC wins as well for all programs.

Don't worry, solely at this time based on rumor, NT is gone in some posters minds and has become the enemy of the members who think that their team will be left in the Belt.

Don't you know NT has done nothing to deserve even consideration other then being based in a huge mega market.

Forget that NT has been a good member of the Belt and that any school in the Belt would jump at the chance to get into CUSA/Alliance.

I just wish these posters would wait till something actually happens before going on these rants.

There are a few old-timers who understand UNT's position. They choose UNT for it's market, but they will get a fine conference member accidentally.

People ought to lay off UNT. FIU is the market school.

The merger is dead. The alliance doesn't look like much either. According to one of the plans, the champion of the MW will play the champion of the CUSA every year. Would you rather play the number 5 team in the Pac 12 or the champion of CUSA? This doesn't look so wise anymore.

And rather than an alliance, the two leagues are basically competitors. And if I'm UTEP, I'd stay in CUSA because the Mountain West won't have anyone to add if the Big East does any further craziness. I don't see anything but a mess coming from this partnership.

Yes, we'll lose a school or two. But neither league is what it once was.

I'm just telling it like it is. If I were just a hater I'd be railing against UNT also.

Surely you don't think you are anything but a tv market to CUSA?
