Tigercat,
As already discussed on this board, ad nausea, the Big East will be the butt of everyone's ire. The 5 conferences ahead of us in the BCS will continue to look down upon us as they did even when Miami was in the league. Everything that was said in this article about WVU is the same exact thing said about Miami and how easy they had it getting to the BCS. Of course, the ones writing about it were real college football reporters, not college basketball writers with bad hairpieces
The fact remains, the Big East was the sixth best college football league with Miami, and we are the sixth best college football league without Miami.
The non-automatic BCS-bid conferences will continue to point to the Big East and say they are no better than us, why do they get a bid.
Again, the fact remains, the Big East was the sixth best college football league with Miami, and until the MW and WAC merge jettisoning their dead weight programs we are the sixth best college football league without Miami. The new C-USA isn't even in the picture anymore.
And if C-USA on their budget can afford to have their offices in Dallas, I think the Big East with a budget at least 10 times that of C-USA can afford Manhattan.
But thanks for caring.
Cheers,
Neil
