To those saying we need to "get over it" or that they still support and like the guy (snake), then I have a question for you.
What if the love of your life told you to your face that she/he loved you and would never leave you then the next day is packing their bags to leave you for someone else? I am willing to bet you would feel low as dirt, lied to, and betrayed.
Maybe some of you have forgotten this video at the airport when Cal expressed his love to Tiger Nation and the city.

Most of us with a brain recognize coach speak. Most of us with a brain know any coach worth a flip would leave here if the Kentucky job opened and he was offered. Cal can get at UK what he couldn't get here. A good big man with no drama. He had to take chances on players here. Some worked out, some didn't. He had to do it his first year at UK with Cousins and Wall. Davis, Gilchrist and Co are as good as players without the drama. The bottom line is most of the people hate Cal because of Mario Chalmers.

It is not the same thing at all. My wife of 46 years and I married for life. It is a lifetime contract, as far as each of us in concerned. (Others don't believe that marriage is a lifetime deal, but we do.)
My University and Cal had a business relationship that was mutually agreeable. It ended when one of the parties found something he wanted to do more. Cal never signed a lifetime contract.
The difference is that as a realistic fan, I said when Cal came that he was a top coach, and if you are at the top of the coaching profession, you have to leave if one of the "big names" calls you. I knew going in that if UCLA, Kansas, Ky, Duke or UNC called, Cal had to take the job.
If you though that Cal was here for life, despite any coach-speak he said about wanting to be here, then you were working under a faulty premise.

Well said. This ain't 1969. It IS a business now. It's a shame, but there isn't anything we can do about it.

My wife hopes Kansas wins, and Kentucky wins, and then Kansas beats Kentucky. She thinks that would be funny. I would kind of like to see that, too.... KY up by 9, 2:30 to go, missing one and ones, and so forth.
But I'll settle for a Louisville victory on Saturday.

Personally, I have no idea why we have 4 or 5 Cal threads on the front page at all times 3 years down the road. I couldn't care less about Cal at this point.
That said, if he did fall down and injure his other hip I wouldn't get distressed.
