RE: Toledo to play in the CIT
Buffalo joins BG and Toledo in the CIT. Somewhat surprisingly, Buffalo did not get a home game in the first round. I see Illinois State got an NIT berth which was somewhat unexpected. Over on the C-USA board the Herdlers are plenty ticked off by Marshall only getting a #5 seed and an away game in the first round of the NIT.

Kent State is also in the CIT.

Not sure it really matters, but which tourney is considered better, CBI or CIT?

This year on average, the CIT teams are better (based on computer rankings).

Kent State is also in the CIT.

Wow Kent is playing at USC Upstate. Upstate's gym is one of the smallest in DI. Think your local middle school.

By the way it sounds, the teams that got home games did not get them because they are the "better" team. Our fellow posters pointed out that the teams that got the home games did so by buying them. Still, it seems like a very good call by our AD and staff to do so. It sounds like it was such a cheap expense that ticket sales will probably just about cover the cost and I really think that for a team like Toledo, this is exactly what they need for development and confidence. Great investment!

Toledo to play in the CIT
Toledo is shockingly favored by 5.5 going into the game tomorrow.

I believe UT was up by 14 or so, then McNeese went hot and the Rockets went cold.

Toledo 36 McNeese 34 Halftime

RE: Toledo to play in the CIT
fyi for mac fans hoping to watch the other CT games

collegeinsider.com website has free streaming of the games but it takes some effort. you gotta load the plug ins (otherwise won't work) and go through an ordering and "purchase" of the free stream. there is no credit card scam (i hope) but you could probably buy an exotic animal more easily over the internet. be patient it should work the games do play (live and on demand) and you really don't want a leopard prowling a cage in your backyard anyway.

I dont know if the UT site is wrong or the cit site is wrong. The CIT site has Buffalo@Oakland and Bobby Morris@Toledo

I think it changed because road teams (e.g. one who did not pay 31K per game) did pretty well... Toledo and Oakland were willing to buy a game UB and RM not..

RE: Toledo to play in the CIT
At the risk of starting up an non-productive thread, in other NMR action, Ill State won its NIT opener in OT over Ol Miss in Oxford. I see our once conference mate (football only) UCF got really hammered by a good Drexel (maybe should've been in NCAAs?) team.
