Hope it was just the Johns and the Joes, because the X's and O's at Memphis in the secondary last year were just dreadful.

Position coaches in football are just like assistant coaches in basketball. 20 per cent of the job is the games and preparation. The rest is recruiting.

I have no problem with the hire

He has rather extensive experience as a defensive coordinator, including most recently at Bowling Green, which is a bonus that comes with the hire of a position coach. He has recruiting connections in Ohio and Memphis.

Sounds good to me.
