Position coaches in football are just like assistant coaches in basketball. 20 per cent of the job is the games and preparation. The rest is recruiting.
I have no problem with the hire
He has rather extensive experience as a defensive coordinator, including most recently at Bowling Green, which is a bonus that comes with the hire of a position coach. He has recruiting connections in Ohio and Memphis.
Sounds good to me.
