RE: Asheville
I doubt there will be because it worked out. After talking to a few people about it, the whole thing was seemingly blown WAY out of proportion.
Here's the question, how much revenue for the city did the Southern Conference tournament generate vs. the Big South Championship? I'm guessing both did well without seeing true impact numbers, ie hotels, dining, entertainment, merch, etc...
The fact is fans are never truly happy. Somebody is always going to be mad about something. We see it on here all the time. The key is did they make money? Did the city make money? Did both games get played in the same place? Of course. The waiver was for a worst case scenario situation that never came to be, and in the words of an old bald guy: "Don't tell me about the labor, show me the baby." The baby was two conference championships in three days with big crowds, shopping/dining/entertainment dollars spent in Asheville. It worked out, so why are we complaining?

probably right. the tourneys were a boon for asheville. they may be able to pull both the socon and bsc next year...at least there has been those talks. none of the schools will bid it because they lose money.
