No they don't. Clemson refuses to play home games any time other than Saturday. Even with the extra exposure it's simply not worth it because of the disruption it causes to the entire university.

I think you read what I wrote wrong. I am saying that GT and VT had to agree to this. Just like Maryland and Miami last year.

It still doesn't discount the fact that we knew back during football season that it was in all likelihood going to be Tech vs Tech on Labor Day this year. We knew when we agreed to play Auburn in the Chick Fil A we would be playing either Friday or Saturday.

Your thread title has doomed the outcome due to Top Gear law.

MTSU then five days later VT is pretty lame. But not rooting for a school in NC, I'm very VERY use to getting shafted in football from the ACC. And for some reason they particularly like to make the point of contention VT. GT played back and back games at VT when they entered the conference. VT was karma punished by having Reggie Ball play out of his mind and blow out VT.

RE: How hard can it be?
A couple years ago VT opened with Boise St on a Monday, then played JMU the following Saturday. Didn't work out so well.

Still, you'd think they have a least one guy at GIT that couldn't figured this out a few months ago...
