Petino recants says cards would like to continue series with Memphis(guess the Louisville president dusted off his little britches).I love it when I am right & Cardinal Nation is WRONG
When your president enters into a contract Rick and Tom need to back off.See ya in the funny papers(or FedExForum) :thumb:

First off it is Pitino and guess what we are NOT playing Memphis next year or anytime soon.

My guess is when Calipari is gone then and only then will Louisville play the Tigers.

BTW you are not playing the Bearcats next year as well.

I don't want to come off like this other guy ranting, but I just have to ask,

What the HELL does Calipari have to do with anything? Is it because he has
beaten Pitino? Can you guys please decide who exactly it is you hate.

R.C. doesn't have too many fans in Memphis these days, but Cal's not going
anywhere. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if he gets another raise soon.

WacoBearcat Wrote:RC Johnson made a couple of statements which have caught my attention.

His first statement was that Lousiville and Cincinnati were going to continue their basketball series with Memphis.

The second statement was that Memphis was negotiating a home-and-home series with Notre Dame in football.

It will be interesting to see if these things come true. If they do, congratulations to Memphis. If they don't it will be embarrassing for Memphis. Johnson really needs to calm down, and work behind the scenes, not in public' eye.

And, I would prefer to have Memphis as the Big East's 9th member over ECU and some of the other alternatives.
In regards to the first statement - RC Johnson needs to do whatever is in the long term interest of the University of Memphis. If that means shutting up about the possible future games than that's what RC needs to do.

On the issue of possible games against Notre Dame - this seems to be a real possibility. Just after this possibility was announced by Memphis Notre Dame issued a statement that they were in negotiations to play a "CUSA team" in football -
