Do you? A redshirt is not a designation you have to make before the season starts. They could have put him in the game at any time, but they didn't.

Well consider.. He was originally commited to Illinois, when he decommited, the other Big Boys had filled the safety spot. Williams settled, because South Alabama was there to cover himself. He's always been told and prepared for a major program.. Big !0 or SEC. The kid is to physcial for the minor leagues..

Perhaps you should have spent less time telling him he was going to "major program" and more time teaching him how to be a good teammate.

Maybe at his 4th school in 3 and a half years he'll figure out how to jell with his coaches and teammates.

At least now he has some time to get his academics in order.

Good exchange of information in this thread, and good exchange of opinions. And now that we know he's leaving USA for Ole Miss, maybe we can wish him well (as many have done), move on, and leave the dignity of South and the young man intact.

Bottom line, if he was any good, he would have played in games at South Alabama. He was also probably flunking out of school. You will never hear his name again.
