Who was talking trash? The comments were about your wussy comments about one of the roughest sports in the world. Houston did as any great team should do go out and put up big points. I got a kick out of putting up over 500 yards in a loss that was a wide margin. That's one of the many reasons why football is so awesome. Add in the kick your ass physically and scoreboard wise and it's the perfect sport.

Feel free to go back to crying about comments that are said in locker rooms across the nation at all levels of football.

It was an odd game in some respects, that's for sure. Marshall played a pretty ballsy defense, pulling everyone close to the line (sometimes a safety would uncover a slot and run back 15 yards). I don't recall anyone staying in that defense against us, or any other Air Raid team. Even Nebraska played TT with a single high, press at the corner, and forcing things in the middle underneath the high S. OU and Texas seem to run 2 middle safeties and force things to the outside, as UCLA did to us (OU and Texas have more success with this as they are not inexplicably slow like UCLA is). It was fun to see someone do something different.

We're used to having good offensive days and finishing well behind in the time of possession stat, but today's 42:xx to 17:xx advantage for Marshall is pretty high. We scored 9 touchdowns, and over 600 total yards with only 25 first downs. That's kind of queer as well.

I wasn't overjoyed with our defense today, but then again our D was out there for 86 plays, so not our worst effort by far. Anyway, I'll take a win and look forward to visiting you guys next year.

I've extended my congratulations to the Cougars in another thread, and feel no sadness over this loss, as I expected it to go similar to the way it did. Marshall showed some good things today, and showed some apparent growth on offense, so there are some positives to take home from the game. Houston, of course, dominated as expected.

And all of this lunacy aside, I'll be pulling for Houston to run the table the rest of the way. It will be good for the conference, and ultimately good for all of our schools.

You have been classy, no doubt. As for the guys posting the band cart bs, they deserve all of what is being thrown at them.

Get over it. Nobody has thrown anything at me because there is nothing to throw. I've been high on Houston since I heard Keenum was back. I said that day he would win the Heisman & Houston would be the favs to win the conf. I've done nothing but support the Coogs in many conversations when the topic was anything but. This thread was started by some whiny ass fans that can't deal with some comments that MILLIONS of players have said. Period. I posted a smartass comment about the QB leading the receiver out of bounds. Someone posted a pic of the incident so Inposted a pic of the cart. Edwards is hardly a broken man. If ilya was it would be a whole different situation alltogether.

If anything you and your fellow Coogs are giving your comments to the players that fired up your team rather than myself & the other Clarkbar or whatever the name is. Oh and for the record I apologized for puttin the pic up. It's obviously a sore subject. I also didn't like the other dudes pic with the MU logo. That to me was different and over the top.

Mods, not much good is going to come out of this thread. Feel free to move it to the smack forum.

You have to love the irony. You started the whine & moan session and now you want to close it.

Funny, it seems that is precisely what you're trying to do. Sorry that we didn't have a sense of urgency to limit your total yards, given that we were up 30+ for the entire game and all.

You only scored 21 on our first team D. If we can manage that in all 14 games this year, we'll go 14-0.

That is actually a very awesome stat. Houston's Defense was out there for a very long time and played a lot of football. Yet still only allowed what they did on the scoreboard. In a sense Houston has found a way to overcome a high scoring non defensive game. As I said before many teams can put up huge numbers on the scoreboard, but the fluid scoring and speed was unreal. I truly enjoyed this game and I loo forward to seeing Houston continue their run.

Guess what dude. You can point out what you think I mean even when I say otherwise and you can point out any stats you want. I watched the game twice now. That's why I'm still up. I understand the sport. Thanks for the help though. I would hope your team can go undefeated based on your schedule and the talent. Plus I predicted that and I don't like to be wrong. So help my ego & keep kicking ass... Oh hope that doesn't offend your next oponent. You might start another thread.

Hahaha! All in good fun! Seriously good luck and it's time for me to go to bed! I have a Bears game to watch in the am.

So they're too dumb to meet minimum NCAA standards but still "smart" enough to get into Marshall? Sounds about right.

I agree, that was unclassy as hell. I didn't like it one bit either.

Okay, fellow Houston faithful and opposing Marshall fans. The game is over. Time to move on.

Good luck, Marsrhall. Hope to see you again some time.
