"University of Louisiana Lafayette"
"University of Louisiana at Monroe"
Any reference with any of those words in it is legitimate and accurate.

Even with that, Louisiana Lafayette is our academic name, Louisiana is for athletics. If you refer to us as ULL, Louisiana Lafayette, or UL Lafayette, I won't argue, I will just continue to refer to my university as UL or Louisiana and refer to your university with the name yall request and hope that one day you will respect me and my university enough to return the favor.

Call us NTX, UNT, North Texas, North Texas State, NT... I don't care. All signal who we are, who we've been or where we are, and you can't in any way mistake any of those names for another school in or outside of the state of Texas.
I'll continue to refer to you as ULL, or simply Lafayette. Be proud of Lafayette. It's not disrespectful, and certainly not meant to be. It's who you guys are as much as where you are. And it's also unmistakably not Monroe. It's not anyone else's fault that ULL fans have a perceived identity crisis. I say perceived, because it's not a bad thing to be called.
