The Dems have caved on every single point(clean vote, taxes, size of deal) except for length of the deal. To say they havent given at all is just wrong. I have no idea why the GOP didnt take the offer with 3.5 trillion in cuts with only loopholes closed. That has been by far the best offer given. Instead, it was DOA and now we are measuring penises over cuts that barely reach a third of what was offered. RE. TARD. ED. Now we are talking about yearly totals over 10 years that do nothing to cut the budget or keep us from losing our AAA/A+ rating.

Really? Name one democrat in the house that is voting for the house bill. You are living in a separate reality.

and you think the last 2 months have been a charade and their hasnt been any negotiations? Listen, the reason that the Boehner plan can't get enough votes is because it is horrible. That is why even the a good number of the GOP is voting against it. It's also the same reason why the Reid Plan is DOA. It does nothing to fix the problem.

No of this changes the fact that 3.5 Trillion in cuts was laid on the table and Boehner passed. As I said during the last budget crisis, you aren't gonna get all the cuts you want in one fell swoop. You get as much as you can during each encounter. The most that was offered was 3.5 Trillion with negligible revenue increases which is great considering you are gonna get more in October. Instead we are talking about a $970 Billion drop in the bucket.

I haven't seen ANYBODY speak in the last 5-10 mins in the US House re-air who I wouldn't fight to have removed from office.

What a cesspool.

It's horrible because it's not 6 trillion (Ryan) with 1.5 trillion out of Obabba's budget this year. Why, does he get a pass with only cutting 200b when he hiked up federal spending a whopping 34-40%, adding billions a day. But, alas this may be the best it gets, revisit it again in -8 months, and see how Obabba does with his budget battle coming up next. America cannot afford altered realities anymore.

I'm not giving Obama a pass. I just think that the GOP overplayed their hand. They had a shot a blowout win, but wanted to **** down the president's throat as well. So, instead of getting cuts near 300 billion a year, they are getting 90 billion a year.

Michael Burgess got bought off ... but another South Carolinian is in the no column in Joe Wilson. Nearly the entire SC delegation, to my surprise, is a no right now.

The entire SC GOP delegation was a no earlier when Boehner just needed one more vote. If he got Burgess, he should have the votes.

{EDIT: Burgess is from Texas. My apologies.]

Trent Franks(R-AZ) after a meeting with Boehner, "I haven't changed my mind about anything ... I'm looking for a restroom, you gonna follow me in?"

Boehner doesn't have the votes. This should not pass until dingy Harry offers a senate plan and it is scored by CBO and voted on by Senate.

Reid Plan has already been scored by the CBO at 2.2 Trillion assuming we get out of Afghanistan in the next 3 years.

Rand Paul talking about a rather clever plan by Connie Mack in the House that he supports.

Freeze spending at the exact level it's at right now ... and cut 1% per year. It balances in 6 years. Beautiful.

I think you could get a lot of votes for that on both sides of the aisle. Therefore, it wont happen.

RE: Prediction Contest: How many GOP no votes to Boehner's plan?
I still havent heard an answer for the following question. Say on August 2nd no debt ceiling increase has been passed and signed by Obama. Since almost every bit of our spending is mandated by an act of Congress, what is the constitutionality of the Executive Branch deciding what to pay and what not to pay? Aren't they required to pay for every bit of spending that is mandated by Congress?

1% that's 38billion out of $3.8trillion in 2012 hard to argue that there isn't that much fat that can be trimmed when corporations are cutting 10% or more.

The best part of that plan is that it doesnt cut everything immediately. It allows the private sector to absorb the public employees at a steady pace instead of all at once. I think I love it.

You arent going to get more out of Obama during the budget negotiations if you still have Boehner running the show. It's become obvious that he can't even show his caucus that they've won. I am on record from February saying that Boehner wouldnt be the speaker in May. He has surprised me up to this point, but I think his days are numbered.
