Please stop implying that he had them legally sealed or something. Their not public information and he has chosen not to release them.
Regardless, it's a brilliant political move to not release them and watch all the moonbats attack these meaningless things like chum in the water.
In a technical sense, you are correct. But the standard procedure in the past has been to release such information. That's how we learned in 2000 that Shrub had a higher GPA than Al Gore. Or in 2012, that McCain ranked fairly low in his Annapolis class, low enough that it probably took his dad to get him into flight school, something that some on the left tried to make political hay with.
Those who believe Obama is the messiah want to look the other way and try to sell these myths that he has been thoroughly vetted and that he is open and transparent. If those myths were true, then we'd know the kinds of things about him that we do about prior presidents. We don't.
My guess is that it's not the birth certificate, but rather that if he opened the university records we would find some thing very damning. His books certainly read as if they could have been written by Karl Marx (particularly the first, which was allegedly written by Bill Ayers, which would pretty much be the same thing). It's not too hard to imagine a 20-something student writing a capstone project or a law school writing requirement that read like the communist manifesto, nor is it hard to imagine a Columbia or Harvard Law prof giving him an A+ for such a document.
I agree that the tactic of secrecy is a brilliant political play. I'm going to lock all my closets and make you find which one has the skeletons. When there are so many potential places to look--Hawaii, Indonesia, Occidental, Columbia, Harvard, Chicago--and there are questionable situations/relationships at every one, hiding everything and hoping nobody finds the right one is probably a better strategy than making full disclosure and fading the heat.
He may be completely clean on everything. But people who are completely clean are usually the first to make full disclosure. And he simply hasn't, nor has he been pressured by any media--except from the right--to do so.
Like Shrub's DWI that the media held until the most damaging moment. Some on the right have tried to pull a Rather and fake something because they wanted it to be true, but nobody in the media--including Fox--has given any of those claims the kind of credence that Rather got with his. If you want to make the claim, as some do, that he is the most vetted president ever, then you must sincerely believe that Obama has been subjected to anything approaching the media efforts to discredit Shrub. If you do, then you are entitled to your opinion, but I won't be joining you.
