Did TOGC get banned from the Memphis board? Is that why he is blessing us (and the CUSA forum) with his unadulterated stupidity?

Come on TOGC, you can't actually beleive everything you type. Most of it is just inflamatory rhetoric without sound judement or thought. Do you really want to be known as the offensive robert?

I absolutely 100% believe that conservatives are ruining the country.

For example, in my home state of Tennessee, they just passed a bill that would put creationism in science classes. That's retarded. It makes as much sense to require people to teach evolution in Sunday school. One is science, the other is religion. They don't belong in the same class.

So teaching creationism is more ruinous than a 1.7 trillion deficit. 01-wingedeagle

Can you define... never mind, that is the definition of retarded.

Starting two different wars at the same time (one of them on completely trumped up reasons) while giving huge tax breaks to your rich cronies did a lot to create that deficit.

Holy crap, by theotherrobertn's standards, I am one of Bush's cronies. You must be on food stamps if the tax breaks didn't assist you.

Nope, he pulled a Dubya in Vietnam. Major loss of points for that bit of stupid. He's in the middle somewhere.

The poor, according to Republicans: Anyone making less than $100k a year.

The rich, according to Democrats: Employed.

Nope. Both Kerry and Obama campaigned on raising taxes on those making more than $200K.

I agree with you about the religion/school thing. But as Paul said in so many words, there are far bigger fish to fry out there. A bankrupt government swimming in obscene debt is far more detremental to the long-term health of a country than a school controversy in Tennessee.

So many out there, particularly the young facebook generation who slept through their Econ 101 class, either don't know about the debt, ignore it or shrug it off. Those who raise a fuss about deficit spending are just written off as "teabaggers". Then again, a lot of people can't even balance their own checkbook or manage their credit cards, so maybe they see the government as kindred spirits.

I don't know enough history to rank the worst but Warren Harding is pretty much the consensus #1 worst president in most rankings. My brother has an interesting book written by his mistress that documents some of the incredibly corrupt or just stupid things he did in office.

He was a sleazy human being. So much so that his campaign manager pretty much kept him at home in Ohio for the duration of the campaign.

But he served a little more than two years, and real GNP per capita grew almost 20% in those two years, so obviously he did something right. He took over in the middle of the post-WWI recession, got things turned around inside of a year, and ushered in a decade where average annual growth was quite robust. As would be expected during good times, he was quite popular. Basically a sex maniac who ran a good economy. Some might see parallels with a recent president.

I heard Slick Willy went to the Warren Harding school of sexual deviants.

The Difference between Dubya and LBJ?

Dubya won the quagmire he got us into.

On a thought, after 2005 it was said that Iraq was like "flypaper" to lure foreign Jihadis into combat with the US in Iraq, instead of somewhere else.

The DoD never posted an official "Terrorist"/Insurgent KIA count, from 2003-to present but you know it was significant. We took out some of their best operators.

Bottom 5 (plus ties):

38. (tie) William Henry Harrison and Millard Fillmore
40. Franklin Pierce
41. Andrew Johnson
42. James Buchanan
43. Warren G. Harding

Last 8 Presidents:

14. (tie) Barack Obama
17. Ronald Reagan
20. (tie) Bill Clinton
22. (tie) George H. W. Bush
26. Gerald Ford
27. Jimmy Carter
32. Richard M. Nixon
