MSNBC and Ron Paul
I will preface this by saying that I don't watch MSNBC at all. I may flip through and see Madcow talk about something and stop just long enough to get pissed off, but I don't tune in to MSNBC. However, they seem to have a love affair with Paul. Here is the question...do they honestly think he is a good politician worthy of their time....or are they trying to portray Republicans as extreme constitutionalists who have a very narrow view?

Ron Paul stands for a lot of the "change" that many left-center and independents naively thought they were getting with Obama...non-interventionist foreign policy, ending corporate welfare, pro-civil liberties, etc.

Ron is about the only Republican that will go on there...and it helps that he can actually articulate his position without a bunch of stupid partisan talking points.

RE: MSNBC and Ron Paul
I think this thread says alot about how the liberty message brings people together. Two libertarians, a Republican, and a Democrat and not a bad thing to say amongst them.

Go to a Ron Paul rally ... I guarantee it will be the most diverse political gathering you will ever attend. Anarchists, libertarians, Republicans, Blue Dog Democrats, Independents, values voters of conscience, homeschoolers, progressives, Constitutionalists.

As much as I rail against path of this country to ruin, collapse, and calamity .... there's still alot of the good stuff left in lady liberty. And I always see it at a Ron Paul rally.

As Ron says often...The message of Liberty is exciting! I love the fact that he is bringing the message to college campuses and getting kids on board with these ideals.

I'm glad these are the things that Americans are looking for when deciding on a president.

"Hey, look! A black man - and he's running for President! Cool!"

Pretty much how we ended up with the O. No thinking required. No vetting necessary.

That's weird, it sure didn't help Jesse Jackson. 05-stirthepot

Have them talk about Libertarian ideals and it may be a civil discussion. But change the subject to Tea Party ideals and it will very quickly descend into knock down drag-out vitriol, I damn well guarantee you.

Well, Joe Biden told us that Barack was "clean" and "articulate." Maybe that was JJ's problem all along. 05-stirthepot

I always thought JJ was very articulate at least. The problem was, his Rainbow Coalition only had one color in it.

RE: MSNBC and Ron Paul
Well, JJ had some baggage due to his, er, profession. BO on the other hand, did a good job not creating any kind of a record of success at anything other than being a rabble-rouser and grievance monger - AKA a "community organizer." As for O's other records, like birth, school, etc., he had enough money, power and support to have them sealed.

I assume you are calling me a democrat which I am not...they are much too wimpy for my liking. Actually, I am a registered Republican.

But that is only because Ohio makes you declare to be able to vote in the primary.
