Do we have any chance with the guy? Look at his official visit list. In my mind it is a long way to come if you are not seriously considering coming here.
Maybe. Any offensive linemen could potentially start day one with us next year.

He did visit. He has some big names but I am sure his decision is Start at NIU right away or maybe start in a year or two at Florida State. They get alot of talent but they must be short on lineman.

Our coaches may have gotten him to realize he could be a star in the MAC or a career backup at an AQ school.

We are NOT recruiting BCS back ups. We can tell him better shot in the NFL with playing time on Saturday. BIG DIFF.

This guy is from Roswell, New Mexico, are we sure he's not an alien or the result of some super secret military experiment? If he takes our offer, WE HAVE to give him # 51 (for 'area 51').

Maybe a de-commit but unless his MANY other offers have been pulled then we do not have a shot.
No chance in hell

Quote:Asim Manuel does a little bit of everything for Roosevelt.
The versatile senior plays wide receiver, defensive back, returns punts and also sees some snaps as the Rough Riders quarterback.
"He's our Michael Vick. He's our everything," Roosevelt coach DeAndre Campbell said. "He's a good kid. He already has two offers from Division I. Great academic student."
Campbell said Manuel (6-0, 170) has offers from Western Kentucky and Northern Illinois, each of which are recruiting the Rough Riders standout as an athlete.

Quote:Murdock has full scholarship offers from Northern Illinois University, Toledo and Wyoming — all for his crazed-dog potential on the defensive side of the ball. He’s also been in touch with Wisconsin and Iowa.
“Chase is one of the best players in the state,” reported recruiting guru Tom Lemming, who hosts a national show on the CBS Sports Network. “He’s definitely a Division I player, and I think he’s D-I at both positions, running back and linebacker.”

IMO, Murdock is a Big10 safety. If we land him it would be great get. He reminds me of that walk-on Iowa had a few years ago from that small IL town. I think he ended up in the NFL.

Quote:Meanwhile, Rochester's offense clicks because Lunt throws to Grant and Cody Greer, 6-2, 250-pound Cody Sands blocks and 6-3, 205-pound junior running back/linebacker Garrett Dooley demonstrates that he will be Rochester's next Division I prospect.
Grant, a 6-1, 190-pound senior with 4.55 speed, is uncommitted. But he impressed in summer workouts and is demonstrating his pass-catching skills this season. Northern Illinois and other MAC schools, Southern Illinois, Western Illinois and Illinois State are showing interest.
"The only negative is he isn't 6-3 and runs 4.4," coach Derek Leonard said. "He plays fast. He lines up on the outside and opponents double and triple team him. He has great ball skills. When the ball is in the air, he can twist his body and get the ball."

Marian senior Taylor thrives on double duty
By JOE STEVENSON
Thursday, November 10, 2011
Quote:Taylor, who committed to Northern Illinois in the summer, has been a leader on both lines for the Hurricanes, an expanded role from just playing on offense as a junior.
“That’s been huge having him on both lines because we lack some size,” Hurricanes coach Ed Brucker said. “He’s done a real good job doing that. As a sophomore, we thought he had a lot to learn about playing harder. This year he’s progressed to play on both sides and done a good job.”

He looks like he would be a good addition.
I would almost wonder how he would do as a DE in the MAC.
