I'm very impressed with Mike Rice.

Since joining the Big East, I've counted on Rutgers to sit at the bottom of the standings and be that yearly bottomfeeder. All I could think of last night is that this guy knows how to coach and gets alot of effort out of his players. Then they showed a quality recruiting class coming in for Rutgers next year, and all I kept thinking is "great, now we'll have to battle Rutgers too! Ugh."

They will be moving up in the next few years. Keep an eye on them. I think they've found their quality coach.

I agree. He seemed to push the right buttons at the right times and they played hard the entire game. With a top 15 recruiting class in route, the future could be nice for Rutgers. Just another tough out in league play.

Geez.. the BE conference just keeps getting deeper and tougher. As seen by Seton Hall's win at Syracuse and Providence's win against Nova, even the teams that only have a couple of wins in the BE can beat the teams at the top. There is going to be more parody in the BE going forward with teams at the bottom greatly improving.

Who is your bet for the 6th?
Cash. If he ever looks to shoot the ball again. 03-wink
Well he looked to shoot again....

Rath i was going to say something about it to you, but the meltdown in the other gamethread looked like it needed to keep going.

Anyways great call...didn't expect it quite this soon after (especially in only 17 minutes of play)

Great call Rath...Cash getting 20 points was about the only positive of the game.

RE: UC vs Rutgers Game Thread
Sure someone can dig it up. Love to know how many teams this year have 6 guys on their roster score 20+ in a game.

UC has had 5 before once that I recall. Not sure about 6.

More than 1/2 of the active 11 man roster has hung a 20 spot this season. Pretty cool, IMO.
