AS I understand it an endowment is a pot of money for a specific purpose- frequently one where the original fund is invested and where the principal is never touched and the interest is used to pay the bills. Some universities have such esoteric endowments as the QB position in football. Money could be used for recruiting QB, QB coach salary, QB equipment, scholarship for QB, etc but couldn't be used for a kicking net, for example. Donors can be pretty specific about how their money can be used. When I hit the lotto I'll be endowing the return of men's track and a seperate endowment for high jumpers.
Unfortunately, at this time I am not well endowed.
That's what she said.
That's kinda what I thought, but wasn't sure.

Not just for football though. If built right, these facilities can be used for the other teams (basketball, track, soccer, baseball, etc.).
If anything, the rest of the NIU teams need an IPF because outside of football, soccer, volleyball, baseball, and wrestling we aren't competitive enough in the rest of our sports.

Kent doesn't have a football program, do they?
You tell me.
Your win last year helped Kent narrow BG's lead in the all time series to 55-17-6. Enjoy it cuz it doesn't happen very often.
