In addition to the throngs who tailgate in the lot throughout the game, you now have additional tailgaters to block the lanes of people trying to leave the stadium. I do enjoy trying to run the bastards over, however!

I know several people who didn't have tickets to the game and were kicked out of the convo lot as soon as the game started. The flyer of tailgating rules said that tailgating ended one hour after the end of the game, and apparently the bike cop let a bunch of other people stay. The people I know said they weren't doing anything besides listening to music, playing bags and hanging out. Apparently the bike cop was a huge ***** about it as well. Pretty weak in my opinion.

I have no sympathy. There is a game. Go to it. Otherwise you can go to the bars.

i think many stadiums are not allowing people in the lot while the game is going on. Good idea, get your asses in the stadium

I like the idea of postgame tailgating. Celebrate a big win over the grill with some friends.. how is that a bad idea?

i think post tailgating is great. Relax after a win and enjoy some food and drink

What about normal people who are trying to leave but are hemmed in by tailgaters who don't move? If you allow this, then you must have police to direct traffic and assist cars trying to circumnavigate tailgaters who refuse to move their fat arses.

It was promoted on niuhuskies site weeks ago for the 11am start followed by soccer game vs Apron.

Have not heard nor read of any other such extended tailgating hours.

Would likely be chilly and nearly dark Sat after 3pm start to CMU game. Come to think of it I have never tailgated for a nite game. Maybe Nov 9 whether premitting I can enjoy a new nitetime tailgating experience - subs and suds.

I had a blast tailgating last week, the cops are totally cool about drinking and the people around us were awesome. I'd like to see NIU move the softball field west at some point and add 40% more t-gate grass on the East side!

RE: Huskie Stadium Tailgating
I am very much pro tailgating. It is not only an integral part of college football, it symbolizes it. However, aside from the buffoons who tailgate throughout the game, what really irks me are tailgaters who have no respect for anyone else. I cannot tell you the number of times tailgaters refuse to move whan a car is coming (or trying to leave the lot). At times, I have difficulty parking because tailgaters walk and plant themselves in front of you as if you do not exist. Then, you get out of your car only to be hit with a flying football. People see you trying to walk past tham and they won't hold their damn football for 5 seconds. After the game, it can be very difficult to leave when your car is surrounded by tailgaters who will not move as you try to escape. My only option is to come close to hitting them at times. People constantly walk in front of moving cars and will not get out of the way. Is losing your brain an integral part of tailgating? Must be the damn alcohol.

thanks!

I don't think regular fans and donors can park there. It may be reserved for media types or special high rollers.

If you are talking about the lot kind of behind the Alumni Center - off of Stadium Drive, they have been using that lot (last year anyway) for handicapped parking.

Geez people..first we ***** about lack of attendance..then when the team gets better drawing larger crowds we ***** about the tailgaters..
I don't mind the tailgating at all..much better than the old days when you could park anywhere and never had to worry about getting a ticket on game day.
