The Sun Belt is actually a really good name. Very descriptive of the conference.
Sure a lot better than the Mid American Conference. The Sun Belt brings a lot more positive references, and feelings.

Names are irrelevan, and the Sun Belt name does describe very well where the confence is involved with. (Short of Denver).

WINNING is what puts you on the map.

Lets all hope we win as many OOC games as possible.

Luckily now that the WAC will now be perceived as the lowest confrence on perception from the casual college football fan, even though its essentially unchanged for this year.

I would take several years for the average football fan to realize that there was a new conference. Too many of them would think it was a bunch of FCS teams moving up.

Keep the momentum of the Belt.

I always thought about the Sun Belt as being the opposite of the "Rust Belt" and thereford a good thing.
I know that kind of sounds weird, but I bet other "outsiders" have that idea run across their minds.
