.....similar to the Horizon or Atlantic Sun?

It seems the Sun Belt takes a bad rap just because of the name. The SBC makeup of teams has improved with a tighter geographic area in recent years.

The additions of WKU and USA will prove to be solid programs in the coming years. I think USA has a load of potential with the stadium, fan support and recruiting in the gulf coast states.

Absolutely not; the SBC football teams are making good progress and the perception will change as the wins roll in.

The name is not the issue. Winning brings respect.

C-USA was/is a laughable name. They've gained some respect by winning games, and I hear fewer making fun of the name.

To the knuckle draggers out there (and IMO that's what 80% of the population is) any name that isn't an AQ conference name is "silly."

I wanted rid of it when the good ship American South sailed in to grab the Sun Belt survivors off the life boats.

I'm not married to the name, as long as don't come up with some dreck that only a committee could produce like Conference USA.

I read somewhere that each school is supposed to have this logo in their school's colors...should be nice also...

I like the Conference's name personally. I also like our "old school" logo, I think it looks classic.

The Sun Belt does not need to be rebranded. It just needs to win games. Also should add a team from Georgia.

The Sun Belt Conference name is fine and doesn't need to be messed with. A Georgia team would be fine as long as it is not Georgia State. They were members once and left.

Well, other than GAState you've got Kennesaw St. (no football. . . yet), Mercer (private with no football. . . yet), Georgia Southern, and my preferred choices, UGA and GT (perfect fits, right?).

I would add Georgia State in a heart beat. IF the Sun belt decided to expand. Oh and try and lure Southern Miss.
