How's the unemployment rate since Obama took office? How are the foreclosure rates? How are new business prospects?

I guess those are too real of metrics to deal with and you'd much prefer the academia ones coming out of the White House.

One problem, "most" of us live in the real world and simply won't ACCEPT a damn 10+% unemployment rate for the foreseeable future. We're not f'n Europe and don't want to be turned INTO Europe. Also, many of Obama's policies have YET to take effect, I.e. healthcare, cap and trade, tax increases, etc.

Obama said unemployment would not exceed 8% if the stimulus was passed. We are at nearly 10%. By Obama's own metric, the stimulus has failed.

There are 3 million fewer jobs now than there were when it passed. We were told it would spur job growth, it has not.

As those of us here who are smarter than you pointed out when the stimulus passed, any jobs "created" would be temporary. As the above article shows, we were right.

Now, I don't expect you to actually deal with any of these facts I have posted. As is your custom you will ignore them, deflect and cover your face while telling yourself "no one thinks I'm a fool, no one thinks I'm a fool." But the beauty is I don't need you to acknowledge it. What was unemployment before the Libs took Congress in '07?

Also, it wasn't 8% when Obama took office. It was, IIRC, about 5.6% in December of '08, one month before he took office.

YOU said the stimulus worked and you had metrics to prove it. You then post metrics but no proof the stimulus was the cause of said metrics. Therefore it is incumbant on you to show how the stimulus accounted for the metrics you posted. You can claim the economy is improving, which your metrics could support, but you can't claim, as you did originally, that it is because of the stimulus, because you have no way to prove that the metrics you post are a result of the stimulus.

Post hoc ergo propter hoc. Very common logical fallacy and one you embrace routinely.

Mach at some point you need to come to a recognition that you simply lack the deductive reasoning skills to have these kinds of discussions. Most of us realized that a long time ago. You can only benefit by realizing it yourself.

Therefore it is incumbant on you to show how the stimulus accounted for the metrics you posted.
