RE: Hey, quick question
BTW, how has the plight of people in the inner cities changed since they started voting Dem in the early 60's? Are they better off now?

...that's rhetorical. They keep voting for Master, I.e. Democrats. They are, in fact, Uncle Toms All. They vote for whomever it is that's going to allow them to stay in good favor of "massa".

I'm pretty poor, and I don't want the government's help. I manage on my own. I should be the poster child of the Republican party. Work hard and take care of yourself.

You are correct. Why did 80% of US Jews vote Obama, when it was not the best interest of Israel. Because US Jews Identify with the Dems. Problem is the Democratic Party has changed, American Jews are awaking to that realization. Young people are also scraping the Democratic Party in Drones. Will blacks? Only time will tell.

I don't think they will until another great political shift.

They are dead but they have made their mark. That's not to say that even 1% of the party thinks that way but that's why all of the minorities left and haven't come back yet.

Yeah, they've chosen slavery.

Tell me, have the inner cities improved since they started voting Dem? Are they better off? F--- no. Sad to say, but if you look at the numbers and statistics, you, Nomad, are in the minority within your race. Blacks hold ALL records on incarceration rate, births out of wedlock, illegitimacy rate, crime rate, etc., etc., etc.

That is NOT the fault of conservatives because you guys don't VOTE for conservatives.

Direct your fire elsewhere. Most blacks have been conditioned by Dems to think all their problems are someone else's fault. Why? So they'll continue to get votes. Detroit is the prime example of what the Dems have done to the black population in this country. It's a GDamn shame what the Dems have done to a once proud race. A race, I might add, that had a better family structure than white people in the 50's. Now, it's a damn shame.

You cannot blame this **** on a party that hasn't been a part of 90% of black peoples' lives since the 50's.

RE: Hey, quick question
BTW, apparently J.C. Watts was treated better in the RNC than ANY black person in the DNC. I think the fact that they need their own caucus should prove that.

I have only advocated that conservatives go and have a chat with a black community and try to tell them of the benefits of being conservatives. I've emailed one of the GOP members in Greenville, NC with a suggestion of a conservative effort to go into communities and explain how well black conservatives have done. I even threw Cosby in there as a conservative Dem.

He calls me by the number I left and says that they already have their target group and it would be a waste of resources to deviate. That's why people feel the way they do.

While I'm not a member of the GOP, I'm actually to the left of the traditional black family on social issues, I applaud their efforts. I just don't understand this, "they need to reach out to me" attitude. No one had to reach out to me. I looked at the policies and platforms and made my own decisions based on what I knew about the founding of the country. My parents are Republicans. I'm not. As you know, much to my dad's chagrin, I voted for Perot in '92 and '96. I have been an independent conservative my entire life, but that is really centered on military and fiscal issues. Social? Seriously man, I could give a rat's ass about how someone lives their life or who's pole they want to smoke. It's why I bring up conditioning within the black community as much as I do. There IS no other answer to it. "The Great Society" was nothing more than, "Hey, you get your black ass back on the plantation", IMO. It's f'n sick what happened to a once proud race. Do you think there is anything to be proud of now? I look for guys like you to change this ****. Apparently "I" can't do it because they Democrats have instilled into black people's minds that only blacks and Democrats can help blacks. .....but it's changing. It is changing. The excuse is getting old.

I get what you're saying I guess. I am too an indy conservative that's more moderate. My experiences growing up in what I view as a normal family consisted of: watch the news, follow politics, don't let it affect you that greatly at the end of the day, and never join a political party.
