Trust me, the Nets move to Brooklyn and I'll make sure that his deal here is a living hell.

bless you

RE: NTR - X and Coach K potential candidates for the Nets job
I don't think he goes anywhere because I think Lebron stays in Cleveland.

First, the Cavs can offer him $30M more than any other team

Second, the Cavs are a lot closer to contending for a title than the Knicks or Nets. Chicago would be more likely, but they have roster problems too. Lebron does want to WIN.

Third, for all the talk about the New York media market, I really don't think Lebron would be that much more of a global brand being in NY - he already is considered to be playing the best ball in the league and has highlights and commercials galore. His global marketing power would go up exponentially with a title, vs. just being in the NY area on one or the other rebuilding team.

Yes, I think it is a dream scenario for WWW and X for him to coach Lebron to a title, but I don't think it's going to happen at the Nets or Knicks anytime soon

there is NO chance he stays in cleveland.

yeah they might be able to pay him more. big deal. NY is craving a star. The NBA is better when the Knicks are competitive. He will make up for it in every endorsement deal you can imagine.

i mean look, would Kobe playing in charlotte (didnt they draft him?) have the same ring as Kobe in LA? there are only two places where you can be a megawatt star..LA and NY. Jordan in chicago was a bit of an anomaly.

lebron will be in new york. book it.

by the way, most people didn't believe me when I said Ricky Rubio would NOT play in the NBA this year, because he simply can't afford to.

I don't disagree with your logic, but it will still have the same effect of putting the KY fanbase and all potential recruits on Cal-Watch. I'll still get warm and fuzzy thoughts thinking about the knots their stomachs will be in every year.

RE: NTR - X and Coach K potential candidates for the Nets job
if Lebron goes to the Knicks or Nets, then he doesn't give a crap about winning, given the current status of those teams and the amount of time it would take to build a contender, especially given his salary.

the only way he could go there and prove he wanted to win would be to sign for the minimum contract and tell the team to spend the rest on teammates.

then he would have a good shot and it would shoot his endorsements through the roof even more with the desire to win/good guy factor.

maybe so. of course, if cleveland wins it all this year, then he has "won one for cleveland" so to speak and i think would be on his way to NY quick.

besides, if they have cap money, the top draft pick, and lebron, they can win the east. the move would decimate the cavs, the bulls are not ready, the celtics are falling apart, etc.

just look at the miami heat. got wade and shaq and presto. championship.

believe me, they could build a contender in the east in NY quick.

that's not true. he's building a legacy and there are numerous players that will follow him...and follow him to NY before they follow to Cleveland.

James can absolutely make more money in NY than in Cleveland through endorsements and local pub.

Celtics...Lakers...and Knicks. That's it!

That's the reason Donovan won't leave UF. Football school isn't going to fire the guy that led them to back to back basketball titles less than 5 years ago. He know's he won't live up to expectations at UK and would be shown the door as quickly as it was opened. He enjoys his job security at UF.

LeBron and WWW are working on this movement. Don't be shocked if Dwayne Wade's name doesn't pop up as moving where "King James" goes. A move to a major market like NY means more to James than any ammount of salary the Cavs can offer. Personally, we all would like to see X leave the inbreds this year and watch the hilarity of the meltdown among fans and buttboy tools like Mark Maggard. It is very possible that X leaves because he now understands his college legacy is in the crapper even if he winds a NC.

RE: NTR - X and Coach K potential candidates for the Nets job
Whether x goes to NY or not I really don't care. I'm just glad that we can concentrate on the future of our great program and not have to worry any more with his yearly shenanigans. It's gonna be great fun to watch Uk fans squirm at every bit of x news in the off season.... but wait.... the talk has already begun, just in time for tomorrow's espn gameday, the remainder of the season, the conference tournament and the ncaa. uk will try their best to dismiss it but it WILL be lurking in their conscience. I wrote on one of the boards last summer that there's no way x's contract will end up at 33 mil, more like 50 mil if they want to keep him. They are about to find out what INSANITY really means on a yearly basis.

Conscience-the complex of ethical and moral principles that controls or inhibits the actions or thoughts of an individual.

By the way, Josh Shelby visits KU in Lawrence for the second time tomorrow. UK fans are already showing serious concern over their future recruiting prospects.

Cal would leave Lexington to go to NYC for 10 mil per year and a chance to coach Wall and Lebron.

Aren't Wade and Lebron Free Agents the same year and good friends.

I know I read an article with them talking about teaming up. Now that would be scary.

And if that happens I don't care if they go to Toronto X should follow them.

Lebron, Wade, Bosh all free agents. Nets also have best chance at Wall if not him then will get at worst the 4th pick. This could happen

also note that X would make a LOT more money in the nba but the main selling point...and one that I am absolutely confident about is that X won't have to deal with academia and the NCAA anymore.
