"Only in East Tennessee"
Here's something that could only happen in East Tennessee(as Pitt would tell you). This is from Pat Forde's notes on ESPN.com this week. Looks like Pennsylvania isn't so different from Tennessee after all.

Coach Who Should Take The Bus To Work This Week

Ed DeChellis (39) of Penn State. He presided over the Nittany Lions' 11th straight loss Saturday, at home against Minnesota, to stay winless in the Big Ten. The earnest young folks at Penn State's Daily Collegian ran a story this week under the hopeful headline, "Losing brings team closer." The Minutes suspects that the Nittany Lions have had all the closeness they can stand.

RE: "Only in East Tennessee"
I got news for ya.

State College ain't Pittsburgh. It ain't Philly. And even with those standards, you're talking about the college media there; not the Centre Daily Times (which broke the story about ETSU lying about whether or not Ed DeChellis interviewed at Penn State).

Fan1- you continually prove my point about how the media in the Tri-Cities, by and large, not only doesn't know anything- they don't even suspect anything.

How do you gather that I don't know or suspect anything from a post about Penn State's idiotic college newspaper?

Easy. If you're trying to equate The Daily Collegian with mainstream media in Pennsylvania you're nuts.

Are you?

Uh, how could it be "something that could only happen in East Tennessee" if it's happening in Pennsylvania?

If you can't figure out what a stretch it is to equate the student media at Penn State with the mainstream media in the Tri-Cities, I can't help you.

Then again, considering that the student media broke the story on Paul Stanton's initial retirement . . . .
